ok BUT let's try a few more things first.( I'm concerned you won't have write/delete privileges for the NAND to delete IOS's).

Can you TOTALLY fill up your vWii NAND with a bunch of crap?(whatever,does NOT matter).
You would be doing that for 2 reasons:
1 it will overwrite some of what you did in NAND in case you send it back to Nintendo (but NOT everything because of wear-leveling you would have to write many,many times and there is still no guarantee it would be all gone)
2 I read somewhere that HBC might have a bug with low free space in NAND(where it still may install--sorry I can't find source/link ATM)
Let's try that,first.

Also it would be great if anyone knew how to force HBC off of IOS58(which is wii version on this console instead of vWii version) and on to IOS59 or IOS36 or IOS38 (actually ANY IOS would be better that IOS58 right now)

you could fill it up with ANYTHING that would normally fill up nand.
you want to avoid ANYTHING you wouldn't want Nintendo to see.

If you want to use wii mod lite, you may want to try a newer/different version(I believe there may have been a USB issue w/v1.1) or try installing his 249/250

Use the regular version of SysCheck HDE. The one posted earlier was a custom made one to skip vIOS36. This is the modified version of Title Lister that logs everything.

The reason why I had him try the other version of SysCheck was because of this following post by OP.
I do NOT believe he was successful with the most recently released official version of SysCheck.

I don't have a NAND backup.
I had one saved on my removable HDD but it got damaged and everything was lost.
I just ran syscheck and it stopped responding on ios223.
The guide said that if it stops responding it means it's corrupted.

Edit: Link removed because 2.3.0+ supports it.

You can change what IOS is skipped by editing the arguments section of meta.xml. At the moment it only allows you to skip a single IOS, but I'll let it fix multiple ones in my next release.

Yeah, that will help some users that have problems with some vIOS to run Syscheck .

Anyway, while the HDE version is more stable, there are still plenty of instances when it freezes on an IOS. I wish I'd thought of this a long time ago.

Mostly likely No.
It just seems to rename IOS so there is NO doubt whether it is a wii or vWii IOS

Provided the ONLY things wrong with your system are:
the wii cios's installed incorrectly on a vWii
AND
the wii IOS58 installed incorrectly on a vWii.

If some(absolutely ANY) program/app(either wii/vWii) can delete IOS58(the wii version), then maybe just maybe HBC will install with a different IOS to allow you to install the correct cios's for the vWii.

This may be promising. WiiMod has detected that I have the wrong ios and it's asking if I want to install 65280 stub. BTW whats a stub?

Actually it's giving me a few options on IOS 249 - none guaranteed to work

Install IOS
Extract to wad
Delete IOS
Copy / change version / patch IOS

I'm dying to hit install but I know u guys will think i'm an even bigger nob head if I select the wrong thing f**k it up even more. lol I'm just gonna sit on my hands for abit
