Hacking Cant update Wii U because of cios?

So it extracted, but in the folder I dont see .wad files...?

Sorry, you have to Pack the wad if it fully extracted into folders with contents, tmd, cetk. I believe its "Tools" - "Pack WAD"
You may have to change something under "View"
IIRC you might even be able to hover over IOS and right click mouse button for Pack Wad option

Acctually, I managed to copy all my important wii saves to an sd card, would the problem be resolved if I factory reset wii u?

Btw, to answer your question from earlier, A factory reset almost never resolves/solves a problem with the vWii.
It should be treated as one of those things you do when you are about ready to give up.

Hi all,
So I cant after several attempts update my wii u to 5.1.0.
Before the update was pushed, on the vWii I made a NAND dump, and installed cIOS' (249,250,251) but now I cant update and I think it is because of this. I called Nintendo and they didnt know, so they told me to send it in to repair. I dont really want to do that, because if they see that I messed with something, they wont fix it and I might have a non-updating wii u, witch is a problem becuase I use the eshop and other things on it a lot.
So how can I fix it, or should I send it to them and hope for the best?

Some user fix this installing a clean vIOS 53, It could work for you.

We are trying to TOTALLY correct his WiiU. That is why we are being Methodical. We don't want to "correct" 1 problem only to leave others undiscovered until it's too late. There are ccurrently too many people with half crippled or totally crippled vWii/WiiU. They either have to pay out of pocket to Nintendo for a fix or dump their consoles at some auction site.

OK, only I was saying that a vIOS 53 could fix the problem like it had pass like a other user, anyway, the only problem that he have is he can't update, he doesn't have other problem.

Did you even read the entire thread?
He CANNOT run SysCheck

Whenever I start it is says "Failed to get the stored TMD for IOS36"

He has more than 1 problem. We are trying to come up with a plan before his WiiU/vWii gets more screwed up.

Oh, I was thinking that was a error from downloading something, so he need a vIOS36? seeing the error it seems to be a error from the TMD for IOS36, it could be fixed by installing a working vIOS36?

Please Read or ReRead the thread.
Goals:
Find out EVERYTHING that is wrong.
Come up with plan to fix Everything that is wrong.
Execute plan to fix Everything that is wrong.

I read again the post, there are too many problems, the only thing that I can say (I don't want to sound stupid, only offering a method) is use WAD Manager 1.8 MOD, and install the vIOS 53, It won't brick nothing and could fix that problem, the central problem, the others problem as you say are secondary problems for this thread because the tittle says:
Cant update Wii U because of cios?

And he only asked to how to fix this, so I'm doing that, the others problems are you helping him with it, I only saying how it could be fixed that problem, only that. I could try to help to finding waht is wrong and all of that, but I'm not the best person with this, the error that Syscheck gave to him I don't know very well how to fix it, I think it's another IOS error, it could be 2 IOS problems, or 5 if he accidentally install the Wii cIOS, but saying that he install the vWii cIOS it's very strange that he Wii U stops updating because of that. Sorry for the long post.

EDIT: I was saying about installing a clean vIOS 36 with WAD Manager 1.8 MOD because it use AHBPROT and it doesn't need IOS.

Have you ever heard the term "Do no harm"?
He should NOT write to his NAND,period. (Until we know what ALL of his problems are).
I am sure you would agree with taking the cautious approach.

I don't see the problem with writting in the NAND, but taking that problem in mind, other thing (it is very stupid because it could be imposssible) is using a modded version of Syscheck running in a other IOS like IOS 58, but, if I have read fine, you want to compare the old NAND from him with the New NAND to see what IOS (or thing) is the problem?

EDIT: other thing that it could be useful is using Pimp My Wii, don't come with thing saying like "It will brick the vWii" because if you use the latest version it shouldn't happend because it has vWii mode detection and it knows what it needs to do, it will show what problems have in his vWii.

Bug_Checker_ take it easy on Goku Junior, his first language is clearly not english. Hence why he's prolly not fully grasping the concept. I don't think its an issue that he doesn't know what he's talking about, but more about lack of understanding of some of the details that have developed throughout this thread. These things happen. Not everyone on the internet is english speaking.

He's only trying to help. I can understand you trying to explain why his methods aren't good, but there's no need to be rude about it.

Thanks for that :), I know I'm not the best person with this, but I'm trying to help, the thing it could be useful is scanning with Pimp My Wii it doesn't let you to install nothing anyway.

EDIT: Thinking better, I should keep trying nothing more, I not the best with this, I have helped some people with their issues but seems that this is not the case...

EDIT2: Isn't there a syscheck that use IOS58 instead IOS36?
