Hacking 3DS not recognizing Red Gateway Cart.

Thanks! My normal games seem to load fine. I guess it's just something with the cart itself. Since putting tape on, though, things seem to be working out. I'll update if errors occur again. Thank you so much!

Of course it does. It checks at every boot if the FPGA is updated. If it can't check that (i.e. there is no Gateway in the 3DS), then it won't continue.


That's just unusual... It reminds me of Region-locking, or some form of piracy protection (On a piracy-enabling device).

I wouldn't say the check is unusual. The FPGA needs to be on the latest version in order for it to work on the latest Launcher.dat. So, every time it boots into it, it checks the Gateway card if it has the correct FPGA firmware.
It's like your internet browser checking every time if you are on the newest version, except that it's not mandatory to have the latest browser to function.
