Im curious about the masterkey.bin...... If its what it sounds(emphasis on sounds cause who knows what it really is) like it is did nintendo just fuck up?

I'm sure it's an attempt by Nintendo to screw around with people. I am sure they wouldn't actually forget their most important key in a system update accidentally. That'd just be corporate suicide.

I know it's uber-early for that, but maybe 8.0 also introduces the first steps for Amiibo compatibility?

I'm staying on the 7.0 now, I want to jump on the SSPwn train when it comes.

It's more likely that it's not a master key for the whole system, but just for a small part and having it in the 3DS firmware is inconsequential. But yeah, it could be that they just wanted to see people get overexcited about something insignificant.

Oh i agree. Im just hoping(just a tiny tiny bit) that they went mental and forgot it.

Gateway's sales email appears to be out of order. Tried 3 times (on 2 email accounts) and got sent back by the Mailer-Daemon. Ruh Roh

I bet they did this on purpose to prevent their mailserver from getting slamed by emails like yours.
I mean, what kind of answer would you expect anyway?
"We are working on it, please stay patient, it´s done when it´s done."
It´s always the same.

Looks like Gateway will be putting back there next firmware update :( No point in releasing it if it does not work on 8x!

why nintendo always like to make big jump in number version (7 to 8) even if there arent actually something big changed

Gateway users aren't going to buy your games if you block out emunand, Nintendo.

Implying people bought the Gateway for the sole purpose to rip their own games. That statement right there is contradictory. If people want to support Nintendo, they would buy the games and not a Gateway. Doesn't make sense, as the Gateway is a means of loading ROMs, most of which people rarely rip/dump their own.

If Nintendo wants support, people will buy the games, not download them to the GW.

I have already tried to update 3 times and i keep getting an error. Does someone have the same problem?

Many Gateway users wouldn't either way. This is just a step to make it harder to fix emuNAND and 7.x games for Gateway. In fact, depending on what their WIP solution was, they may have to go completely back to the drawing board now.

That happened to me too, but on the third try it worked. Not sure what was up with that, just keep trying, I suppose.

Well, I don't know about other people, but I personally do a bit of both. I was planning on buying Smash Bros when it comes out, for example. Gateway Classic mode lets you buy retail games and play them normally on emunand.
And you can't do that anymore now that emunand is blocked.
