Hi GBATemp. I don't remember if I ever made my introduction, but I'm sure some of you have seen me post around the forums. Typically I carouse whatever active threads popup on the right side of the homepage. Be forewarned, this will be a lengthy introduction, because I really want you to get to know me a fair bit. :)

I was born in 1983. I began playing my very first-ever videogame in 1990, Super Mario Bros on the NES, at my neighbor's house. This opened the floodgates for me into gaming. I soon after got my very first DMG Gameboy, and it still works fine to this very day. Then in 1998, I started on Pokemon Red. This only further fueled my game addiction, for YEARS to come. (Thanks, GameFreak. <no sarcasm>) Then in 1999, my friend introduced me to Emulators: The ability to play Nintendo games on a PC for free. I didn't even know what an emulator was, or that they existed... but I liked them. Alot. The first one I ever used was Nesticle. That emulator also got me into NES sprite hacking, it was fun.

As the years slowly went by, emulators improved rapidly, more and more systems were being emulated, and I was shocked and amazed how fast the GBA scene took storm. Arguably the most influential handheld era for me was the GBA. So many great games, ROM hacks, etc. It wasn't until the PSP's 3000 models, did I start showing interest in the handheld from Sony, seeing all the cool stuff it could do with custom firmware. I was impressed beyond words. GBA emulation is pretty top-notch for the titles I enjoyed, and I loved the thought of not needing UMDs to play my games. So on my birthday in 2008, I got a PSP-2001, and Final Fantasy 7: Crisis Core, and a 512MB mem card to get me started. Well I of course bought an 8GB Sandisk MemoryStick, and started modding away with custom firmware.

As you can tell, I love soft-modding consoles now. I currently own an EZ-FLASH IV (fat) for my GBA SP, two R4i 3DS Gold carts, a soft-modded original Xbox running UnleashX dashboard, a launch Wii with 4.1U (black theme) via ModMii, and my PSP-2001 running 6.60 PRO-C CFW. Hell, even my router has custom firmware in it (I like having options). I can't just accept my purchased hardware as it is, I have to squeeze every last drop of potential and features out of it to REALLY get what I want out of it, and feel like I got my money's worth.

I am an avid PC gamer, but I also enjoy consoles. Some games control better on the PC, and some better with controllers... That's how I determine what system to buy a game for. I don't think one is superior over the other, each has it's pros and cons. I buy all my games on Steam now. I currently have 33 games, and am always looking for more FPS/puzzle shooters and 2D/2.5D indie games. I hope to become a game designer in the near future. Retro gaming is my favorite, I've always loved pixelated games, even current ones like Cave Story.

Now, gaming aside...

I spend a fair amount of my time in Photoshop, Minecraft, and Facebook. I work at Walmart as a truck unloader, but it's only temporary until a better job comes along. The only foods I can't stand are cabbage, raisins, almonds, and "hoppsy" beer. The only types of sheets I like on my bed are flannel. I have A.D.D.and very (very) mild O.C.D. I have a dog named Jackson, and a Chinchilla named Ozzy Rodgers. I have a candy addiction, but I've gotten better, and I love everything to do with Nutella. Nutella is a monster obsession with me. I wear glasses. I'm 5'11" tall. 155LBS. Caucasian male. thin build. No tattoos or piercings YET, I just haven't found any body mods I want done that I have to live with for the rest of my life.

Anyways, I have to cut this short. Enjoy these random tidbits about me, and look forward to seeing you on the forums! :)

Lol I hear ya ADD and OCD! Love it! I agree, the PSP days where outstanding and I was hoping that the 3DS would be the same but I could never get it to work and I'm pretty lazy myself lol but I def agree that retro gaming is the best, I just wish there was a good n64 emulator available for a portable device... The Wii U is hopefully my answer but just gotta wait until this happens! I could just walk into my games room and switch on the n64 but I really emulation!! Lol

For N64 Emulation, I use SuperN64 on my nvidia Shield. Gets great battery life too.
