Another Halo game?
I stopped playing since Halo 2. Halo 4 just look like shit and Halo 3... well, I just don't like that game.

They could just stop.

Fuck, I was just coming to post this.
As far as information goes, this game is theorized to have multiple storylines considering 343's insisting that the game may not just follow chief. I'm just glad it's not gonna follow Palmer and frankly
I'm excited as hecky although I am disappointed with Halo 4. Hopefully halo 5 goes back to some original story and gameplay and doesn't convolute it to much with "magic aliens".

Havent we known there was a Halo: 5and since last E3?

There was a lot of speculation that Halo 2 Anniversary would be coming this year and Halo 5 would be in the future. However we could possibly see BOTH this year~

It's nice they're giving people so much time to prepare themselves for the inevitable disappointment.

Well there goes Microsoft's e3

Is "Microsoft's making a Halo 5" really a spoiler? Especially since they showed a trailer for it last E3?

This is a small nitpick, but I have always hated it when a series (be it games or movies) goes for a long time, numbering its sequels and thats it, and then late in the game, the next sequel has a number and a subtitle. Well at least its not as ridiculous as how the Rambo movies were numbered.

The only difference between "milked" franchises that everyone hates and "beloved" franchises that are "classics" is numbers.

Like I said, its a small nitpick. The AVGN had an old video about numbering sequels that is very much in line with how I feel too. Obviously I know it has nothing to do with overall quality of the product.

Bungie's Destiny will probably be more successful than 343 'cause not only were they the original Halo makers but also made the best Halo games. After Bungie left, it went to the shitter.

Absolutely agree, as large of a Halo fan that I am, my heart still lies with Bungie over the actual new halo franchise. I'll still continue to love the franchise but not anywhere near as much as I did when Bungie was at the helm.

I stopped caring about Halo after the crapfest that was Halo 4. Reach was so much fun multiplayer but 4 felt like they were trying to hard to copy other popular multiplayer shooters and took alot of the heart out of it for me. It didnt feel like Halo anymore and im fairly certain that will be the pattern they will follow from now on, which isnt something i want to play.

According to recent news, while this IS the next game in the franchise, 343 has stated that the game will not be released until 2015. That being said, there is still a Halo Game coming out THIS year, taking quote, "The Next step in the Journey." Not entirely sure what this means but you can get a much more detailed description from this lil news video

oh man, another generic space man power shooter. can;t wait to play crysis 4 and bioshock definite--love me arcade shooters

All I can say is thank God for Destiny. If that game delivers on some Bungie-styled gunplay and world building, it'll make holding off on the Xbone Halos so much less painful. I don't intend to get an Xbone until near the end of the generation, when I can find it for much cheaper. Then I'll hopefully have three or so new Halo games to play with the gf. :grog:

Huh. I quite liked the direction that 343 (which if any of you didnt know is basically Microsoft) went with Halo 4. I cant speak for the campaign, but the multiplayer was well done... from what I understand lol

Halo 5sand will sell Xbones, you all know it.
