So last night I finally beat disk 1 of Final Fantasy 7, and before you go on to say "this is how you do it we get this all the time" let me make one thing clear. My copy of FF7 isn't a ISO in a sense, well I'm unsure but it said it was ripped by "Team$$" who I can't find, inside the FF7-1 folder it has the following files.

.DS_Store
EBOOT.PBP
icon0
KEYS.BIN
pic1
sndd0.at3

In that order, no ISO/Rom of FF7 that I can see or find anywhere yet it works. So basically whatever guide you were about or thinking of posting may not work as I'm using a ripped version that is used a bit differently. As my PSP was used the last owner added this so unsure where to find Team$$ to find disk 2 and 3, I have just downloaded a ISO of disk 2 but no idea how to use it...I could add it to my ISO folder as the FF7-1 folder is in my memory stick along with the emulators/roms.

I don't even know where the save files are to copy/paste them I just don't know...I beaten disk 1 and really want to go on to disk 2 but how do I use disk 2 without starting all over from disk 1? I know I could add just add ISOs of all 3 disk to my ISO folder (but by doing so would need to delete other ISOs as appears my ISO can't hold too many ISOs as it has a limit that I reached maybe 2 or 3 times and was forced to remove a few ISOs) but I most likely would need to start 100% over unless I can manage to find and move the save files over, it'll just be a bigger problem then it's worth so hoping there's easier way without me having to restart or deleting most of my ISOs just so my PSP can have all 3 disks.

P.S I posted this at a PSP site, but they have a thing where you can't post topics with links until you reach 999 posts and it stupidly refused to post this one topic, just because it read the files' names I posted at top as links. Stupid thing they need to fix.

P.S again a friend told me about a program called "MemcardRed" that's for editing memory cards and well just Google it. Anywasways I don't think it'll help as again the FF7 I was playing "isn't" a ISO file, OK it might be but as it isn't in the ISO folder (in the game folder with my emulators/roms) it wouldn't help very much.

Your copy wasnt converted with all discs.
1. Get yourself a copy of Final Fantasy 7 for PS1
2. Download PSX2PSP
3. Click the "..." button next to ISO/PBP File dropdown box. Select disc 1 of your FF game
4. Click on the ISO/PBP dropdown and select File 2 then click the "..." to select disc 2
5. Then select file 3 and again click "..." add disc 3
6. Now you can add images if you want.
7. After you're done click "Convert"
8. Put the folder (do not rename it) with the eboot it just created in your "GAME" folder on your memory stick.
9. Enjoy

Your save should still work I believe. After you've launched the game just hit the ps button and select which disc you want to activate like you would if you bought a ps1 classic game from psn

Have a video tut?

It's simple if you follow the text but just incase

(by the way this is not me, it's the most recent one I found but you should be able to convert your FF7)
Also sorry if the video is a little slow, or music is annoying I just randomly found this video but it will show you the steps.

Well a link to the program he talked about would've been nice, what am I'm suppose to use my PSP for converting and if not...use the program from the video? You need to be as detailed as possible for new members who have no idea on how to do this stuff! XD Also what is PSX2PSP a program I have to download? Maybe that video will have a link to it, it'll be good to link a program a person may not have otherwise they may get confused until you explain better.

Not that it isn't a good help...just atm have no idea what you meant " PSX2PSP" you gotta explain that better, the video is over 20 mins and while I like tut videos....it is long. XD I'll try watching it tho.

EDIT:Yeah PSX2PSP is a program I need, wished one of you two added a link to it. XD Aw well Google, btw sorry if I sound rude a bit cranky atm downloading un-needed software that I may never use again gets me cranky, wasting PC space but...what else can I do?

Hahaha you can always retrieve that space by deleting everything afterwards, c'mon it's not like it's 1997 and you're sitting with a 1GB HDD, I'm sure the application psx2psp is barley 20MB big.

Besides doing/fixing things yourself is more than half of the fun! ;)

-EDIT-
It wasn't even 2MB.
Use filetrip for finding the files you need.

OK guys what gives? Upon trying to install PSX2PSPit froze twice, and then my PC started buzzing overheating and then...I saw THREE PROGRAMS had been installed, I got 3 Malware by trying to install PSX2PSP(and I used the download link here at this link) and think said malware added links in my post I'll delete in a few. What....gives there? I'm still on Windows XP but tomorrow brother will give me a Windows 7 laptop so my PC isn't protected from virus anymore as Micosoft ended their support, so until tomorrow....yeah.

BUT STILL 3 Malwave files!? Ugh thank goodness I uninstalled them...

You might have downloaded from an iffy source. Try the gbatemp forum link given to you above. That looks like a great tutorial for you as well as download link

Well I got the link "from here VIA the download tab above" so the iffy source was from you guys/the download tab you have above, maybe it was just my bad luck....but I'm gonna wait until tomorrow I'll be getting my new Windows 7 laptop and it'll be better protected/safe, curse Micosoft for ending their support....

While I don't have any knowledge of this specific release, i got a few troubleshooting question:

What's your base firmware?
some old firmware are incompatible with md (multidisc) ps1 eboots and as the folder name suggest, the use of an outdated rip could be associated with an old firmware
what's the eboot size?
most recent ps1 rips use md eboot (what inerverwipe is making you build) which allow you to switch disc without exiting the game, the game disc is swapped from the home menu

That's worrying. If the file is on Filetrip, it has to be checked in case you are right and the download isn't legit. Please post a link to the file you downloaded so that it can be checked by the staff and scanned.

Alright, seems clean to me - you've saved me some work, good job! It must've been library files necessary for the app to function.

Thanks.

You're quite a picky one aren't ya:unsure:, here you got some pictures and minimal text.
Following this mini tut i presume you have already acquired a copy of FF7 as an ISO or BIN & CUE file.
If you haven't, then it's your adventure to find one.

Download PSX2PSP 1.4.2, save it wherever you like on your pc, just make sure you know where to find it.
oFq82Gv.jpg

Make sure you have an application to extract the file, I like winrar.
After extraction, if you chose the "Extract to..." option you'll end up with a folder with the same name (PSXPSP 1.4.2), enter the folder and run "PSX2PSP.exe"
PqN42mV.jpg

On first boot, the application will ask you if you want to run in "themed mode" or "classic", choose the latter.

Press button #1 next to the first row.

WErHRbP.jpg

Point it to your ISO/BIN file.

sfnaWDG.jpg

Press button #2 next to the second row.
WErHRbP.jpg

Create or choose a folder where the output file is going to be saved, this file is the game converted into a .PBP file
cZoDfqk.jpg

Now it should be looking like this, but with the name of your game instead.
Proceed with the "Extract iso" button
zft42kQ.jpg

Check the folder you choosed for the "output file" (3 steps back ago)
You should have a folder with a similar name.
Now copy/cut that folder into the the psp > 0:\PSP\GAME
GeCRzbM.jpg

Now on your psp, your game should appear as any other game.

That's the very download that gave my malware when it froze twice (at 16 and 30%), if they were apps for it to work...how can Keyware Media Player and a Update Checker (forgot the name of the 3rd) work? Heck think it even added a V-Bates plugin/add-on I had to disable.

Anyways no atm I don't have a copy of FF7 besides the folder that runs it, my friend told me the Eboot file was the FF7 ISO converted. I'll download a ISO for all 3 disks of FF7 (unless a single FF7 ISO has the 3 disks as you said just 1 ISO not 3) but it'll be later today when I get my new laptop. Also...yeah you did a scan for it but again after I get my new laptop, if I get the same/more Malware I'll tell you guys. And I have 7Zip for extracting files.

To add more discs to the same file, press the "ISO/PBP" and you'll get a drop down menu, choose file#2 and add the next disc.
Btw, how big was the FF7 image you were playing on?

It's weird that you got malware from the download, i didn't get anything at all.
Well there's always google to find other sources.
