I have read somewhere that you need a lower firmware at least for action replay.it does not matter, you can install the homebrew channel on any version Wii U. In fact, you should update it to the latest firmware (as of this post, 4.1.0) to gain extra features like using the gamepad as a screen for vWii and the ability to output sound over either HDMI, AV cables, or both.

Yes there is for Wii games ofcourse but it works on WiiU depends on the firmware you need a option like settings and date or something.Action Replay? I thought there wasn't AR for Wii games. Anyway, with Ocarina/Gecko OS, cheats work just fine.
