Hacking GateWay Omega Problem

It's exactly the same as mines. I don't think ours are clones. Im writing a full report to gateway right now. And maybi i will post it here as well.

No, the ones with the longer 8th pin and blue PCB are the real ones. The fake has a shorter 8th pin and a black PCB.

I'm on 4.5 and still have this issue. What is a safe way to clean the catridge and the 3ds slot reader?

Did you check the MD5 of the launcher.dat (after it's on the SD card, not on your computer's HDD). Maybe it didn't copy over correctly or was a bad DL.

Hello gateway,
This is my complete report for Omega. the links are forwarding to an image. if its not working, you can download the images i have uploaded in this mail.
The hings i have tested with omega:
1. "BOOT GATEWAY MODE" ERROR
After running exploit from blue card, I put the red card and booted the menu.
I tried to run gateway mode but a message was holding me back. "You need to update this card to be able to enter Gateway mode. Press [A] to close this message."
After pressing "A", i got another warning that i shouldnt power off etc. Pressed the start button and this is what happens:

After updating 10%, ERROR shows up "ERROR! PRESS [A] TO EXIT
** 3 more people from gbatemp are having the same problem***
2. "BOOT CLASSIC MODE" HALF ERROR
After booting in classic mode, the game "monster hunter" was working fine.
***If you try to go back to boot menu before starting the game, you are forced to turn your 3ds off.***
3. "BACKUP SYSTEM NAND" NO ERROR
The backup went smooth. No problem at all.
4. "BACKUP 3DS GAME CARTRIDGE" NO ERROR
Tested this with monster hunter and everything went fine. No problems
5."DIAGNOSTIC TEST" NO ERROR
I did a diagnostic test over 8 times. All the results were positive. No other problems like blue screen of death.

6."FORMAT EMUNAND" NO ERROR
I formatted my emunand without any problem.

Things i tried to fix the error from updating:
- Tried multipe SD Cards
- 2GB class 2
- 4GB class 4
- 8GB class 10
- Placed multiple micro sd cards in the red gateway card
- 8gb class 4
- 16gb class 4
- Tried the blue card exploit
- with the files that were included with the omega beta
- with the files that were inclued with 2.0b2
- Tried to update gateway
- 30+ times without turning 3ds of
- 5+ times with completely turning 3ds off.

Hushh kyogre xD, haven't played pkmn for a while. So it's close enough :3. Ahh thats why, i havent read that thread since i wasnt interested in powersaves. Well, will do that l8er perhaps.

Ive had the exact same problem as you. However I have yet to find a fix. Gateway have been emailed though.
And yes, My gateway card is definitely an official.
If anyone finds a fix then please post, I would love to get this working..

someone claims that he had the same problem and fixed it by pressing the R button when booting gateway omega. That brings you to the update right away. It didn'nt worked for me, so you might give it a try. GL

Anyway, as right now, im trying to download the latest version, which will show the error code rather than just the text to press a to go back. Link is dead atm though

I'm kind of double posting things, but i thought this is a better place to discuss about the update error.
anyway, i was able to download the latest version and it gives me the next error
00000019.

Till know now others are having the same error as mines or 00000012. Please send [email protected] an email about your error code. And share the error code here if you get anything else than the two mentioned error.

Error 00000019 too.. I've sent GW an email and a facebook message so now we will have to wait and see..
