So I finally got a copy of Lego Batman from Target the other day (Woohoo $6!), however, I want to use it to hack my vWii. But I have one problem, and it's that I already have a hacked Wii. Would it be advisable to hack my vWii and have both hacked, or would I really be missing much by not hacking my vWii?

As far i know. On WiiU only the vWii is accessible and with limitations ( no full compatibility)

For full compatibility with wads, apps and homebrew, use a Wii.

Side Note: Developers on this site are working hard to bring more features to vWii: Wii u pro controller to emulators and apps and tri core processor support.

Also: The Wii U gamepad buttons are not supported at this time ;)

vWii will upscale your Wii stuff to HD. It's not going to make it look as good as it would in something like Dolphin which renders it at a higher resolution, but it does look better than the 480p that a real Wii maxes out at. I'd say it's worth hacking, but if you don't think 480p looks bad, then it probably won't be.

There is some stuff I'd still run on my actual Wii, though. Emulators that support 240p, for instance. If your TV supports 240p over component, you may prefer to use that over having it upscaled by the WiiU.

1st - rip-it-up - Yes
But at a cost, the Wii U game pad buttons and sticks do not work on vWii. You can use the Wii U Game Pad as an small screen with "built in sensor bar " :D

2nd - I noticed that vWii runs on 1080p 60 frames per second, this also applied for the Home Brew Channel and Emulators, so the image is upscale by the console with a very clear image quality with no performance loss.

I have uploaded this small video highlight the screen resolution, the controls on the Wii U game pad, the screen aspect ratio, and emulators ( RetroArch)

Sorry for my heavy accent !

Yeah. I knew that the gamepad buttons don't work in vWii mode, but other than that, 1080p wouldn't affect me in the least, so I guess I'm not missing out on much yet. I might hold off on it, although I may consider it for later if a new kind of exploit that starts in the vWii sandbox is uncovered (doubt it lol).
