The sad thing is, I'm not just twisting words here for a sensationalist title. Straight from the horse's mouth...

Hi all,

The team is currently working hard on the upcoming story DLC and there currently are no plans for releasing another patch to address the issues that have been reported on the forums.

If we do move forward with creating a new patch, it will try to address the progression blocking bugs for players, not the minor glitches that do not prevent one from continuing to play. The issues that are not progression blockers will unfortunately no longer be addressed.

We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused for some of you, and want to thank you for having been patient.

Batman: Arkham Origins players have suffered from numerous minor bugs since the game's release, but also game breaking bugs, like corrupted save files on Xbox 360, repeated crashes in certain parts of the game, and being locked out of certain missions or other content.

If there's a bright side here, it's that some of the most serious glitches and bugs may, someday, eventually, maybe be fixed. Possibly. Also, at least the developers are honest about just not caring, so... that's something?

That's just really bad, man. :(

Who do they think is going to buy the DLC if people can't even finish the game because of bugs?

Then again...just how "bug-ridden" is that game? I haven't payed much attention, so I'm kind of in the dark as to how serious this issue is...

"Batman producer remembers he makes games for the money from those who are playing it currently"

Its a great game and I played it on PC without issues.

I guess these are one of those "unsolvables" like the performance issues in AC3 that they are not bothering to fix since the majority are not getting them.

Bathesda has still not solved the save slowdown on the xbx for their version and have presented racist decisions on giving DLCs to the specific consoles.

I just started playing batman origins on PC a few days ago, and I've come across at least one major game breaking bug. When you fight Deathstroke, it's possible to make a move where you throw the batclaw , and pull the boss back towards you , and elbow him on the floor. Very often if you do this move, the boss just falls through the floor, to disappear. Nothing stops the game from continuing, so you are stucked in a closed room, with no way out. This happened on my first playthrough, so I had no idea it was a bug, and I thought he was just waiting for me somewhere. I ended up looking at youtube videos to see if it was supposed to happen. I was lucky enough the game didn't save that way, as it did happen to a lot of people where the game saved after such bug, forcing you to restart the whole game.

On a side note, I also had the game save disappearing bug on 360 when I played the second batman game (Arkham city?) So was forced to restart the whole game, so instead of going through all the side quests gathering stuff, i just ran straight to the end.

This is why the dlc business is a money maker they don't care about quality assurance anymore, you pay for half a game and then pay another 100 bucks for the rest, that's what they expect but i just give people like the batman devs the middle finger and move on and support devs that give me the complete bug free experience.

Are you quite certain that choice of words was either appropriate or means what you think it means?

As for the matter at hand... between patch publishing costs and returns from it I could possibly see it. Also something something back in the day we had burned ROMs and liked it.

I've read that, but it doesn't answer my question. There are "numerous" minor bugs, but the amount of serious bugs isn't quantified, let alone how easy it is to trigger them. As such, an example like how you can get stuck because some action slams a boss through the floor (thanx, Roamin64) says a lot more than just a generic "there are game breaking bugs".

If you wanted to know how to encounter the bugs, rephrase your question

Then again...just how "bug-ridden" is that game? I haven't payed much attention, so I'm kind of in the dark as to how serious this issue is...
That doesnt say: How do I encounter each and every bug?
That says how bug ridden is the game, and the answer to that question was there: "corrupted save files on Xbox 360, repeated crashes in certain parts of the game, and being locked out of certain missions or other content"
Generic questions meet generic answers.

i purposely used an inappropriate word for the lack of time to think of a better word.

Should have put that in "quotes" to symbolify, "you know what I mean"

just imagine those companies would have to give refunds if people didnt like their games because of bugs and such.
Bethesda would have been out of the gaming market right after Fallout 3 at the latest.

As for the news, I'm a bit surprised. This is a very recent thing, since many games do get both added content and bug fixes in updates..
