I have a Wii U, and of all the games I have, I can't say that I dislike any of them, not in the slightest bit. My only complaint at the moment is lack of games. So far it's been growing at the pace of the Game Cube, though I've a feeling they'll have that turned around (like the Gamecube) by the end of it's life span, slowly over time.
As far as unique experience, yes I'd say so. Though the controller is a tablet like so many of us have, it also doubles as the best dual analog joypad I have ever used in my life! Likewise I really like the touch screen, it looks nice and responds, that's all I could ask for. As for adding in innovation for games, that it does well also, I love having my menu screen on the controller in most games, or the world map (man we need a 2D Castlevania), etc. As for how it is used to change the game play experience, well one free title that really exploits to what degree this can be done, is Nintendo Land. It's kiddy and not feature rich on the graphics, but it's addictive and does show off well some of the things the controller can do in conjunction with a TV.
On top of that, I really like most of the Wii U Ware that's out (there should be a LOT more by now), especially UnEpic. Great little Castlevania/RPG/Comedy, and it's like it was built from the ground up to be played on the controller, though it works great with a large TV too!
Besides, you can always mod your vWii was well, once Nintendont is polished off, we'll have no use for our old Wiis any more.
Oh, so the PS4/Vita/3DS combo.
Ys and Half-Life for sure! Mario is a given!
