I've been following their instructions but I'm having problems. I've never done anything like this before so I need some hand holding. My computer is running XP so things look different too. I have a UMD of the game. I did some searching and I managed to get a copy of the ISO saved onto my computer but it showed up as a WinRar archive. I think I did something wrong because when I try using this in the patch program I get a message saying the system cannot find the path specified and it turns it into a backup file. It doesn't make a patched version.

I also have a laptop running windows 7. I tried the patch on this computer too. This time the copy of the ISO stayed an ISO but when I tried dragging and dropping it into the patch it was copied into the file that the patch was in. Would it work if I take the patch program out of the folder and put it on the desktop? Could I then drag and drop the ISO into it? I know these probably sound like stupid questions but I don't understand much about computers or PSPs. The information on how to install the CFW was real easy to understand and do but getting the ISO from the UMD isn't. Please help me!

if you already have UMD of the game (E2 edition), then you can just use PSP to dump ISO. No need to download ISO from the web. Patch does NOT work with regular version of the game, only E2.

Put ISO and BAT file together, drag ISO to BAT. Then drag ISO file to memory card used in PSP under ISO folder.

Yes, you do have to take it out of the zip folder and put it somewhere else, that is what is meant by step two of the instructions, "Unzip the patch file."

Did you read the link to that tutorialin step of the instructions. Dumping the UMD literally consists of changing a single CFW setting, then copying the single file that showsup when you plug your psp into a computer.

Turn the PSP on and hit Select while on the XMB. Go to USB device and set it to UMD disc. Connect PSP to PC and copy the single file that appears. Don't forget to change the USB device back to Memory Stick after that. Also, your UMD NEEDS to be the E2 version, otherwise the patch won't work for technical reasons. If you don't have the E2 version, you can just obtain an ISO from the interwebs.

I'm used to windows xp. When you unzip a file it is still in a file folder. I didn't know you have to take it out of the folder. And yes I read the tutorial and it didn't look like the pictures plus I had to change two settings to make it work. The confusing part was steps 6 & 7. I've never done stuff like this before so what seems obvious to you isn't to me.

When I look at the folders on the memory card I don't see an ISO folder. Is it in another folder? Like the games folder or one of the other folders.

The ISO folder is not there by default, you have to create it yourself. F:\ISO\game.iso is where the games go (where F is the drive letter of your memory card and game.iso is the name of your iso file. cso files, compressed isos, are also supported, but you won't need those for this patch).

Thank you very much. I have a couple more questions. Where exactly does the ISO folder go? In the PSP folder I have game, savedata, license, and system. Does the folder go here or in one of these other folders like the game folder?
The ISO is named UMD9660 before I apply the patch. Will it still be named that after the patch or do I have to change the name? It is going to be very confusing if all patched ISO's have the same names.
Also when I want to play the game do I need the UMD or do I launch it from under games/memory stick on my PSP?

You launch it under games/memory stick, you don't need the UMD. Also, you can rename the iso whatever you want; mine is called vc3-eng.iso.
