I have no idea how to make it work... There are tutorials for doing this on DS Lite, but not DSi... so I'm stuck. To make matters worse I have never soldered anything in my life.
That said, I was looking at a pic of the DSi motherboard, and noticed points labelled X-, X+, Y-, Y+

Maybe if I solder something to those, it will work? Is there a way of testing this? (That's another problem btw.. I have no idea how these things are tested... wouldn't you have to reassemble the handheld before you can power it on?)
p.s. I can try to take a pic of my DSi in its current state if anyone wants me to. I will use my 3DS to take a picture, lol.
edit: I got the system to work... for 10 seconds only, but at least now I know what to do! Youtube user named rs1n made a tutorial with a good method (for DS Lite) but it works for DSi too. The top screen ribbon cables for both systems are pretty much identical!
