Wiimms MKW-Fun 2013-10 released

Today I have released my new Mario Kart Wii distribution called Wiimms MKW-Fun 2013-10.

This version is the first one based on the excellent work of Chadderz and MrBean35000vr. They have patched the MKWii main program for CTGP-Revolution to allow more than 32 tracks and added many new features. I have adapted these extensions.

I have inserted 128 tracks, more than 200 are possible. First I have collected all tracks of all previous MKW-Fun distributions. Than I have removed bad tracks and added new and good tracks. Wiimms MKW-Fun 2013-10 is now the result of 4 Test distributions and many test, most done by members of 2 German forums. Especially for this edition, I have updated 12 tracks by myself to fix various bugs.

Helpers of any kind were: Affenmann, AndyK, ArRoW, Atouba, Chadderz, Clousuke, Funny, Hawi, horsti12, Leseratte, MrBean3500vr, m4xiking, NeoRame, Obiwan1982, Ratatosk, RedXell, Senseless-Creature, SinGoD, Tock, Wii Freund, Yoshi9288 and my wife and daughter.


Online Gaming

You can play online in rooms or in Region 122. This is an own region only for this distribution like CTWW for CTGPR. Unfortunately, Nintendos servers will sometimes mix members of different regions.

If you drive custom track time trials with a profile, don't go online with this profile, because you may send invalid and impossible times to Nintendo and they may block you.

I will be online in Region 122 at 12:30 UTC (watch out the time zone!). I'll also activate my live statistics. I have about 8200 points, so players with about less than 6000 points don't see me.

Hey, uh, can I report a bug here? Local multi-player, I played with my sis as I usually do, 32 races, random 150cc. The random thing doesn't work, 3 races in a row it was Luigi Circuit. Could that be fixed?

It's a known bug of the (assembler) code made for CTGPR (no influence by me). Select "Choose" in the versus settings and press "+" before each race.

I have updated MKW-Fun 2013.10 to v2. I have made only some small and full compatible updates:

• Built-in warnings about using Grand Prix (save game may be corrupted).
• Built-in warnings about using Time Trials (save game may be corrupted).
• Built-in information about not working battle.
• Some updated tracks (minimap centring only).

It is not necessary to update, but it help to do not accidental enter a critical part of the game.

Input freezes on the create profile->select mii screen with my US version. Using v1 with en for both language options, save as wbfs, and use separate save file. Booting using Usbloader GX, tried with IOS 249 and 250. If it makes any difference I only have 1 Mii in my mii plaza. Also if I extract my save file from my normal mario kart wii to this one, the input freezes on the select number of players screen.

Only one idea: I know about issues with Cygwin and Windows 8.1.

downloading and reading tutorial right now, it's the first time that i play a modded mario kart.

I have decided to never add custom music for different reasons:

1.) Most custom music is boring me when hearing it multiples times.

2.) More important: My distribution is complete legal, because it is only a patching system. The distribution contains not one file made by Nintendo. Adding custom music may bring me trouble.

I thought about that but I haven't realized any solution because of lack of time. my priorities are other things. For example a wit update is waiting for a long time ...

From what I've seen on youtube, all the tracks have speed boost and the power up is stuck on mushroom boost. Can this be played normally without infinite boosts and normal random powerups?
