I've read that Trascend and Sandisk are highly recommended "for general usage", and I haven't read about a particular brand nor a particular size not working with Gateway (except for some defective Kingston cards).

From the 4 you have mentioned, I think you could go for 2 MicroSD of Samsung, a 32GB MicroSD is proportionally cheaper against a 16GB one, but you should also check the prices to see which is better for you.

A SD card (which is generally more expensive than a MicroSD) will probably not offer any benefits over a MicroSD with an adapter. Two users helped me testing the load speeds of emuNAND with a fast SD and a normal Class 10 MicroSD with a SD adapter, and the difference was really minimal.

If this helps, I just bought a pair of these:
http://articulo.mercadolibre.com.mx...-sd-xc-clase-10-mobile-ultra-android-30mb-_JM for a relative good price, 30USD for each.

30USD sounds kinda like a rip-off to me considering you could get the same card for much less :

If it's even the same card lol.

I'd rather stay away from ebay, plus I prefer buying something within my own country. Webshops :p.

Ya, I bought a Samsung MicroSDHC 32GB (Class 10x, UHS-1x) from a webshop with good reviews. (Tweakers). I think I'll leave the SD Card as it is.. If needed, I'll use the current adapters I have with a 4GB MicroSD card.

Yeah steer clear of ebay for getting a decent quality card, most of them are just Chinese knock off branded as popular card that are either broke to begin with, dodgy and don't even store the size they say they are, or break very quickly .....THAT is why they are way cheaper, as most people buying stuff on ebay don't know there are fake SD cards and they work for a while until they get filled up so they leave positive feedback as soon as they test it for a hour or so and can't change the feedback once it breaks a week or 2 later

Smaller cheaper cards are generally ok though I.e 1-4/8gb anything bigger and all the fakes start cropping up

Avoid Kingston like the plague. Their high capacity cards seem to have a high failure rate. I bought one and it corrupted a lot of my pictures and files so I sent it back for warranty replacement to kingston. Received a new card and it just stops working after a few minutes of use. Im finally getting refunded but through my experience. Stay away from Kingston as well as AData.

Sandisk is the way to go IMO

But there are class 10 cards and ultra class 10. There must be a difference...
Class 10 and UHS-1 actually mean the same thing in practice: minimum 10 MB/s sustained for both read and write. UHS-1 specifies a higher bus speed, but it's all backward compatible.

Mine just arrived as well :D I'm going to test them right now.

Reporting back... the cards work OK, but they have a flaw design and at least one of the two is not making proper contact with the GW cartridge. My other 3 microSD didn't have this problem *sigh* stupid bicoloured Sandisk cards.
