Here's a summary of the new version:

Gateway 2.0 b2
Stability to enhance user experience.
Compatibility for emuNAND on 7.1.
.
Note that with this version, it's still risky to update the emuNAND (if you don't follow proper instructions) as it was with the first beta.

NO multirom and NO Pokemon/Animal Crossing support.

So the whole point of this new version is getting system settings and other problems working again? Sounds pretty cool.

I have a question: Should I update my emuNAND straight from 6.3 to 7.1 or use my 4.5 backup to update from 4.5 to 7.1?

don't forget eshop acces for the pokemon update for those who want to play their retail game online (haven't updated yet but i suppose the shop will work again)

There's no reason to not update from 6.3. I actually updated from 6.3 when 7.0 came out.

Edit. wow, the weird strips no longer appear

Hi, I got myself a GATEWAY 3DS

everything is great and works perfectly with my 2gb generic SD CARD...

today I bought two Kingston SD cards, each one with 4gb capacity

None of them works with either, blue or red gateways...

for Blue, it just cant read the file _DSMENU.DAT (shows a message)

for Red, I wrote roms like Ocarina of Time 3d in the 4gb kingston (which works greatly in the 2gb SD), and it actually shows the game in the 3DS MENU, but it says an error occured and i must hold power to turn the console off....

this with both 4gb kingston cards...

whats going on? any way to make them work?

I tried a different rom (Super Street Fighter IV 3D) and I got the same message with the 4GB SD (error occured and press and hold power to turn off)

these SD are SDHC Kingston 4GB...

any specific way to format then? FAT or FAT 32???

I have heard of people having issues with Kingston. Might want to try a different brand if you have one.

I'm trying to set up my NNID and always get the error code 022-5548

EDIT: nevermind it works now

Guys, help pls

The same Kingston 4GB SD CARD now worked with a very small rom: Pilotwings Resort (128MB)

whats up with the bigger roms that doesnt work?

My experience so far With 2.0b2;
  • There is no longer random crashes entering GW mode! :) Definitely a fix here because compared to b1, the profile exploit always appears to initiate in the same way now - 2 black screens instead of random lines sometimes, dark lines, light lines, etc.
  • I've successfully created a NNID on emuNAND 7.1, and linked my Club Nintendo account to that
  • Installed an eShop demo successfully (Marvel 3d Pinball)
  • Zelda still works (the ROM that is) :)
  • Yet to experience a crash on saving but early days..

I'm getting

"An error has occurred, forcing the software to close. The system will now restart. (Unsaved data may be lost.)"

After entering the DS profile with b2.

=(

EDIT: Tried a different SD card and it seems to be working again.
