Why it suck? it is the most important 7.1 Support ;) for me it is Xmas! No need for MultiRom and this rubbish :P

I think it suck because we are still waiting for tons of features like Pokemon X/Y - Animal Crossing support, multi-roms support, etc and they only release a 7.1 emunand patch. Now we are going to wait 3 months again to get something new and I think that's stupid.

But that's only what I think :)

No they said final version will be before 2014

This is great to know!!I'm very sorry to be a pain, but could someone please put up some instructions on how to update this completely? I never dared to touch the 2.01b due to people accidentally updating their devices, i never made any internet connections or anything. I only stayed on 1.1 ever since gateway came out. I would really appreciate detailed instructions on how to successfully update you guys because i have read other posts before but they have seemed unclear to me. Whoever does so, you are a saver, thanks. I appreciate any help :)

Please. Stop dreaming. I'm not a Gateway hater, I really like what they are doing but I don't think that they release it before 2014. And if they do, I would be the first to applause them.

The Gateway team include a user guide and release notes with every release. If you follow them to a tee you should have no problems. People updating their system NAND have done so because they haven't followed the instructions properly and doing each step as required or deviating.

Notes: If you change the language of your system, you'll need to reactivate GW DS profile hack through their NDS ROM (Blue GW).

Also note that this guide was made assuming that the system had already a registered hostpot before doing the EmuNAND partition

1: Ensure the 3DS SD card has more than 1GB of free space.
2. Back up NAND and wait (it lasts about 30 mins).
3. Copy all files from SD card to PC.
4. Select "Prepare EmuNAND" option (it lasts about 30 mins).
5. Delete every file visible on the SD card and copy the backed up files to the SD card (except NAND.bin).
6. Without booting GW's hack, go to System Settings and delete all Internet settings (optional: also change the 3DS language to a foreign language); then exit to the main menu
7. Boot GW mode, verify that Internet settings are intact on emuNAND (as well as the original language).
8. Reboot the console.
(Optional and preventive). Double check that Internet settings are actually deleted from the actual NAND .
9. Boot GW mode, go to System Settings, check for the letters GW3D on there and go straight to System Update.
10. Enjoy the latest 3DS firmware.

1. Turn wifi switch off. Make sure no update is installed (nag screen). Reformat if this is the case.
2. Go into GW menu, select Format Emunand. (backup real nand first, save to computer)
3. Do the profile--> Ds profile thing again.
4. Go to Settings
5. After making sure "GW3DS" is in front of your firmware number. Turn on wifi and connect to internet and update from same settings menu. Don't leave Settings on this step!

Why it took less time to update from 4.5 to 6.3 than from 6.3 to 7.1??? Yes, I had the update downloaded back then, but seriously... lol

Wait... By support firmware 7.1 you mean if you updated your 3ds to 7.1 gateway will work?
If so, woop! I had doubts they could make it work, of someone can confirm may finally be time to get this cart!

Has anyone tried if the save of link between worlds from another unhacked 3DS on the retail card will still be deleted? Maybe someone has got an early save and isn't afraid of testing.

NOO! google search Gateway emuNAND and you'll understand.

Does this mean that my Pokemon X Retail card will work perfectly on Emunand 7.1? Or it will get corrupted as always? ;-;

blimey, you are right... I'm only getting 3 mbit from nintendo. might it be their servers are a wee bit overloaded from gatewayers right now?

He means a wifi connection setup :)

Thanks, and about the saving method, I'm afraid they weren't clear about this. I would wait for someone else to confirm this if I were you.
