I really hope this new emunand release works well. I never got around to installing the first version, so now I'm stuck with 1 worker in Bravely Default until I get emunand up and running so I can use Streetpass Relays.
you can actually use 2.0b1 without emunand copy one of the saves on this forum. I got one with 160 vilagers with all building maxed out (lvl 11) and it doesn't have much gameplay only 3-4 hours

I remember something like 1 game saves per SD card from when gateway first released and searched for it but couldn't find anything. So here is my question, can i store&load multiple (different) game saves on my SD card or do i need to have a SD card per game?

x'mas today. released today gateway bata 2. i hope pokemon x,y work.

Well, not necessarily. In some countries/cultures the "holy eve" (24th of December) has no significant meaning and only the 25th and following are celebrated and regarded as christmas. Therefore (internationally speaking) christmas doesn't have a specific date but a date intervall.

And let's be happy at least that they said christmas, not holidays. This is not meant as any kind of holliday bashing (be it hanukkah, kwanza, festivus, winterveil, whatever floats your boat have a merry one), just as a remark that then the intervall would have been quite a bit bigger (IIRC kwanza culminates on the 1st of January) ...

Same can be said about some cultures/countries that celebrate Dec. 24th more than the 25th. Unless I'm mistaken, I believe Japan is one of those countries.

I think most (if not all) European and American countries celebrate 24th December the most, and this must apply to the Gateway developers since I've read multiple times that they're French.

I admit I feel disappointed with this whole delay, but there's nothing else to do about it.

I don't get why people think the amount of emails sent to Gateway asking when firmware will be done = faster firmware. If anything, it slows them down because they have to answer 10000 of the same email. If they don't then people say they have terrible customer support. It's a catch-22. Everyone just calm down and let them work. It's a newish thing they are working on and any number of things can go wrong that they need to fix to be able to release a good product. The only reason they give release dates out is probably because so many damn people email them asking for it and it helps alleviate the emails they receive for awhile.

edit: false alarm, the downloads page just changed without any discernable changes

edit: ok, the false alarm report was false. i should really trust more in my script-fu

Gateway v2.0b2, public beta.

What's new?

* Many stability improvements over previous beta release
* Full support for firmware 7.1 (including saving and emunand GW3D indicator, etc.)

Please note emunand is not essential for latest title compatability!
For the time being we advise only those with adequate knowledge to attempt to update emunand to latest firmware and
make sure you always have atleast a hard backup copy of the system nand.

Consider this release as a stop-gap release before the 2.0 final, which will bring
exciting new features that are currently being heavily tweaked and optimized.

Merry X-mas from the GATEWAY 3DS Team!

And remember; support the innovators, not the immitators!
