ROM Hack List of DS brickers?

I have recently bought a flash cart for my DSi XL and I heard code is written into some ROMs that can brick your DSi when run. What are the ROMs I should look out for?

I never bricked my ds even though I must have run a 1000 roms or more.

For my ds I had flashme installed just in case but idk if there something similar that works on dsi.

Also I don't think the bricking ever was a problem on dsi models.

Though it was theoretically very easy to make more there were only ever two bricking programs as far as I am aware ( http://www.darkfader.net/ds/ and do a page search for malware). Occasionally people bundled them up and added a fake icon, I never fell foul of this and it was incredibly rare.

Similarly I do not think they work on the DSi, they do not even work on the DS lite unless you really want them to.

To that end make sure you verify your ROMs with a ROM manager (there are many) if you are especially paranoid. If you are doubly paranoid then DSLazy should have brick detection option as should Crystaltile2.

I think the brick only worked on the DS/DSL.

but i mean, will anything happen?
for example, would it corrupt your ds profile settings, if so, would they be fixable, etc etc

No idea. I used r4 on my ds to play over a 1000 roms and never encountered a brick. So you should be pretty safe.

well i'm not worried about it, just curious. my ds lite has flashme etc just for the sole reason of getting rid of the warning screen. i should read how exactly it bricks the ds, then see if it would do anything do dsi or 3ds. (this is not a hacking speculation, don't worry lol) i expect nothing has happened, i guess it has been tried and talked about before

You must be new to ds.
You shouldn't look out for anything.
DS Bricker is something that you will never see again. So you don't have to worry.
And the sites you mentioned are safe imo.

For the record, I've heard that if you try to use the Gateway software on your DSi instead of a 3DS, it will really screw things up. You might still be able to play your games, but you'll never be able to enter your DS settings again.

although it could probably be fixed, using the hack and writing a 'clean' profile settings back to the ds, i guess, but someone would have to make this

It would break DS mode on a 3DS. Fixable w/ a format

I'm pretty sure it just clear the profiles. DSi was never vulnerable to this.

I know, this thread is 5 years old and this is an extremly long shot, but i am searching for an copy of the troj_dsbirck_a and troj_dsbrick_b files. If anybody still has these i would be very happy if you could pass an link!
