I had it working last month, but I haven't touched it in a while, and now I can't get my controllers to work at all. I'm following this tutorial:

http://www.motioninjoy.com/help/sixaxis-dualshock-3-connecting-usb

But it isn't helping at all. I get the controller to show up in the program but when I click "vibration testing" it makes that Windows sound like something is disconnected.

Does anybody have a foolproof easy way to do this? I'm running Windows 7 64 bit.

Do yourself a favor and uninstall that shit now. Look up the ps3 xinput wrapper and enjoy, simple to set up

The hassle of getting that stuff to work is barely worth it.
If you don't care about potentially compromising your pc with questionable software, then go for it.
Otherwise, just get a 360 or logitech controller and save yourself the trouble.

I didn't have any trouble before with it.

questionable software? only the drivers installed and i had no problems with it.
you can install the stuff but you can never uninstall it. i am not joking, NEVER.
then feel free to tell what I can use to use my PS3 controller with.

reprep is right, MotioninJoy does leave it's drivers around when you "uninstall" it. You have to remove the drivers before uninstall for it to be completely gone.

As for your problems...Hit Enable first, then Vibration Test and see if that works. If it doesn't, uninstall and use this: http://emulation-general.wikia.com/wiki/XInput_Wrapper_SCP far better IMO and isn't a hassle to use/install/get rid of.

EDIT: http://emulation-general.wikia.com/wiki/MotioninJoy#Un-Installation_instructions

Here's a link for uninstalling MotioninJoy completely

Thanks, used both links.

Just wondering, do I need to start anything whenever I plug a controller in or does it automatically work?
