Heya,

After a long time of lurking here, I decided to post a question that came to mind, if you look at http://www.pokedit.com/ they've found a way to spoof GTS into sending another pokemon then intended, ( Not used it yet, since I'm not at home, correct me if I'm wrong. ) Would this also be possible for the X & Y series?

In theory, yes. But people haven't been able to edit Pokémon and have the checksum be valid.
What if you don't edit the file/data? Won't the checksum be right if you try to just get a copy of the same thing. In sort can we inject the network data back in for the same we got and make copies/clones of Pokemon without editing them?

I think you're misunderstanding something here. There's a difference in the complete packet data that's send over WiFi and spoofing a GTS. I don't see any particular reason as to why you wouldn't be able to use an unedited Pokémon as long as you can spoof the GTS.

Definitely I'm not understanding this... Someone said that checksums are always varying, that they are also related to the date of the trade.

Well, I'm no expert either, so I could also be the one misunderstanding.
The checksum he was talking about seemed to be referring to the checksum over the whole packet. However, the checksum within the .PKX file shouldn't vary at all. The checksum can only be created from the data within the file itself (and a salt which can't be something variable like a time or date) and there's no variable time/date inside that data. (Only fixed time/dates like the encounter date.)
