Hey guys, I'm quite new to homebrew.

I'm currently on 4.0U, trying to run Smash Bros. Melee through Neogamma on my SD Card using DML. It loads up as a black screen and doesn't do anything but freeze my wii. I really don't know what IOS, CIOS? etc. things I have installed, and I honestly don't know how to run any gamecube games through SD cards or burnt discs. Can anybody help?

Details:
- Used DMLizard and did something to the gcm, making it an iso.
- Attempted to use it with a USB Loader
- Was unsure of whether or not I had IOS249, and was advised to not install it again if my console already had it. Unsure of whether or not I have it (is there a way to check?), so I was too worried to attempt installing.

1. Dios Mios writes on the Mios so no worrys about messing up your iOS
2. Use wiiflow to run GameCube games as it has a better UI than neogamma and it accually supports Dios mios lite (not sure about neogamma)
3.Sd needs to be fat32

4.If you want to play burned games on a disc you need to have a custom Mios
5. Use neogamma to play those burnt games.

Wiiflow? I'll give it ashot.

I'll report back, thanks for the quick reponse!

If I were to run a burnt Gamecube game from my disc slot, would there be anything extra I'd have to do? Or would it just run fine from neogamma?

Use DML and a loader like CFG or Wiiflow to load GameCube backups from your SD card. Use a cMIOS and NeoGamma to load GameCube backup discs. You cannot have DML and a cMIOS installed on your Wii at the same time.

It's one or the other just like what Lacius, you can't have dml and cMios at the same time.
From my experience you can't save data with Smash bros because of a compatibility issue so try starting with playing your games on a burnt disc.

DML + any loader don't seem to work for me for some reason. USB Loader GX says I have to set my main path as a USB Paritition that's FAT32, but I want to run it off of an SD.

As I said, I'm still quite new so this is getting quite confusing ; - ;

Okay, thank you! If I already have DML installed, and want to attempt using a disc, what would I have to do first?

You need to download and install a cMIOS; it will automatically overwrite DML when you install the cMIOS. You can use ModMii to do this.

10 is what you want. And as BlackWizzard said, your Wii's disc drive needs to be an older model in order for disc backup loading to be possible.

Thanks for the help so far, finished installing the MIOS, will attempt to burn now :)

Just wondering but would you two know anything about gcm - iso burning?

I used DMLizard, imported a gcm, and it came out as an iso. Burned it and neogamma is giving me a "Not a wii/gc disc" error. Any ideas?

If I'm not mistaken than DMLizard is for Dios Mios and a gcm is a GameCube ISO, just rename the extenstion from whatevergame.gcm to whatevergame.iso

Got the disc to work! First time running and it ran smoothly. I had to restart due to me not being able to find a memory card until now, but after I tried relaunching, the game no longer runs. sigh, stinks!
Did it mess up because you had the memory card iserted, have you tried with out it.
Did you change any settings upon your second load
