I have a old scratch up Mario party 8 that worked on the wii but not on the vWii so I downloaded the ISO and when I downloaded it show the pal case but it said U.S version. I downloaded it and use a wiibackup manager to get the case and it showed it was the U.S case and the game ID was RM8E01. When I went to play it the game started up in full screen but when I went to party mode and started it was in a small 4.9 screen. IS this the pal version even know it said U.S? Even if it is the pal version can you make the screen bigger? I'am using configurable USB loader. Should I use a different loader or stick with the configurable USB loader and can you make the screen bigger with this loader? Some help would be nice.

This is the American version because the GameID's region is "E" (RM8E01).
E = America
P = PAL territories (Europe/Australia)
J = Japan
K = Korea

Mario Party 8 works only in interlace (480i), and has static unused borders (you should force the ratio to 4:3 instead of 16:9 to prevent screen burning).
I don't know if you can make the screen bigger, maybe patching the video output to force progressive could have an effect. in CFG settings, set the Video: 480p, Video patch: Sneek+all.

Well, that makes sense if E is America... shouldn't EU be E XD
yeah, that's what European thought first (me included :P), but Europe, Australia, and other PAL region use the same code. It's P (certainly for PAL)
I don't know why E for all NTSC regions except Japan.

Game ID is : System-code + Game code + Region code + Publisher code
You can check here how it works

I talked about Mario Party 8 (PAL, but I guess NTSC is the same), if you check the "compatible video mode" listed in the main.dol file, there are no 480 progressive.
But the game IS compatible in progressive, you just need to add the missing modes into the dol (hard patch, or using USBLoader's video patch).

Like you said, Nintendo is too lazy to even list all compatible modes in their games :/
