3DSLink 2.0 firmware is not the same as the upcoming Gateway 2.0 firmware, it's the same as Gateway 1.2 firmware.

It says on both websites the only new features in their 2.0 firmware are Region Free and Firmware spoofing, which is exactly what Gateway's 1.2 firmware added.

But from what I see, 3dslink and r4i are the same company. Maybe even Gateway sold them stuff, who knows.

It's pretty obvious to anyone that they're clones and that they're just modifying Gateway's firmware to work on their card. Until they prove they can do something that the Gateway can't, they shouldn't be taken seriously.

Gateway are the only team that have proven they have the ability to support their card, the others have yet to show they can so much as add any new feature without directly copying it from Gateway.

If everyone stopped buying Gateway and started buying the clones because they are $10 cheaper, Gateway would stop supporting the card and the clones would have nothing to copy from , therefor the clones would also die.

Support? They did only 2 firmwares. They don't even have forum on their website, users must search their "official support forum" on other gaming forum.

1. The Gateway-Team never promised that the 2.0 Update will work above 4.5. They still looking for a Kernel-Exploit which aren't already patched...

2. Do they need a Forum for Kiddies whining that there are no 6.x Support ? (That's an rhetorical Question)

3. Just 2 FW-Updates and 2.0 coming soon with futureproof EMU-Nand ect. Yeah! You're right. The Gateway 3DS is quite unsupported by those lazy bunch of stupid Developers. (http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irony )

Yes, we have still not given up hope to support these consoles. But please be patient.

Doubt they will do it, Nintendo updated their stuff for sure.

If you guys could stop this fanboy war, that would be great.

Like every innovative product, gateway is gonna be copied.

Some people will buy the "original" product, for better support,
to show support to the team who's been doing a big work for 3DS hacking scene,
or simply because gateway is the most known 3DS flashcard so far.

Other people will buy clones, mostly because they're cheaper.

This scenario is probably gonna be there for the next half year.
Gateway Team is not going to die because some people decided to buy clones,
there is no need to try to convince people on buying some piece of hardware when you don't even know them.
