Hi all, having an issue with Xenoblade.

Once I get to a certain cutscene in the game (I can provide the specific point if you'd like, just figured I wouldn't for spoiler sakes), the Wii freezes and I have to hard restart in order to get the Wii working again. The game DOES still get to the menu screen, and I can play perfectly find up to this point in the game.

What I've done:
Tried both Wiiflow and CFG.
Tried loading the game with IOS 249, 222, 223, and 224.
Googling
Searching GBA-temp.
Made sure that my hdd is formatted to FAT32 (it always has been)
Made sure other games of mine work

Anyone know what to do here?

Try re-ripping it? Or maybe changing the video settings to the type of the region from whence it came? I dunno; Rydian would be able to help (or maybe JoostinOnline...)

Edit: title.... says NTSC; probably don't need to mess with the PAL settings...
What HDD are you using?

One that reads Wii games without much difficulty, I'd imagine.

Doesnt mean it plays them perfectly. No harm checking.

The game hasn't frozen - it blasted you with so much boredom that your brain went through temporary comatose after which it began receiving stimuli selectively, blocking out the game as to give your body a chance to turn it off.

Seriously though, if it freezes mid-game it's probably a bad dump. As for the partition, NTSC? Don't you mean NTFS? And I don't think that'd actually... help... meaning, NTFS has worse support than FAT32 does. Perhaps the game previously:
  1. Occupied a bad sector or a slow sector
  2. Was fragmented
  3. Didn't copy over properly the first time
...freezing the system in the process. Creating a new partition and copying over a clean dump would fix all those.

Either way, glad that you had it resolved.
