Hacking Venom is back and dumped some new US stuff

Looks like those that thought Venom was dead, busted, or hauled off to hell were wrong...The update list shows they are back and dumped and released about 6 roms today including the much longed for SMT IV....woohoo

NICE! Bookmarked and I did find the roms. I only grabbed the ones I already have and they all work with no issue on Gateway.

Just cause a group goes quiet for a while doesnt mean anything, they all have real lives and alot have been in the scene along time so kids family etc, also if a top tier group gets busted, you hear all about it, as they arent often specific scene dependant, they go by multiple names, 1 for each platform, so just cause quiet on 1 platform doesnt mean much as probably active on another...and they just evolve from the ashes of old groups, KALiSTO, ECHELON etc just rebadge and move on

I told them Venom has been around a long time and that dumps usually happen in batches and that pretty soon they would come back on the scene and dump more content. Now if we could just get the recently released Scribblenauts DC and the Etrian Oddesy 1 remake, and Rune Factory 4 comes out Tuesday also....I would love to see if those will be Gateway compatible. I am curious to see if 3RD parties are really concerned enough about gateway to be implementing anything new in AP like MH4J has.

Your comment doesn't make you right. It could just as easily be that VENOM never dump another ROM.

The reality is that your ignorant for assuming they will, and others are ignorant for assuming they won't....VENOM haven't been around that long actually. They certainly aren't a respected group. It sounds like your holding them with the same regard that PS3 warez people hold DUPLEX...they talk as if DUPLEX are some long time group, they only popped up a couple of years ago with the PS3.

Likewise, VENOM has only done a couple of releases on anything except handhelds. They don't release stuff early. They don't have good suppliers etc...just bog standard "contender" group.

Ironically enough both KALiSTO, ECHELON....were actually busted about 10 years ago.

Ironic aswell that the Kalisto Leader was from Here in Auckland New Zealand I remember as that was around the time they busted alot of topsites using .edu rit utwente etc

Thanks for backing me up on that as I knew they had been around for quite some time. I don't know what robo989 problem is as we should hold any group that does releases in high regard. Also he acts like because Venom doesn't do pre-releases that they are crap or something.....well to do a pre-release you have to have a leak and unlike disc based software cartridges are rarely around in any form before their official release so they aren't going to get leaked early. Dumping cartridges normally takes custom built hardware that someone had to figure out and put together. So yeah I hold Venom, Kirin, Contrast, and Abstrakt in high regard.....if it wasn't for them we wouldn't have any content to use on the Gateway.

Hey great list and nice to see you are a member here. I really like the spreadsheet format and the search features. Also Kudos on inlcuding so much data including the CRC32. Makes it very easy to search for ROMs and to verify that you didn't get a corrupt download. Appreciate your work!

I actually bought the US version back in July because I wanted the box set. I have been busy playing other content on the Gateway and thought I would wait until it was released to play it that way so I wouldn't have to break open the package. Given that it is a niche game in the US I figured I would try to keep it sealed as I am sure it will have good colector value in a few years.

Yes, sir. The first batches came with a limited edition pack with an artbook and soundtrack. The later copies are just the game. It was released both in retail and the eShop.
