ok i found out what the issue was,
some chinese people didnt update to 1.23
as 1.21 fixed 6.2.0 but obviosly not 6.3.0

so make sure your on the latest and hopefully good to go

How do I know the version of DSTWO is 1.23?

just place the update on it

if your on 1.23 it will say "1.23>1.23" when it installs
if not it will say what your on and what your going to

Maybe nand backups won't work anymore.

wouldn't that be 'impossible'? connecting to the hardware and dumping/flashing the nand, how can they give an update to stop that?

yea its the same, you can always apply it again anyway
then it will delete the update from the DSTwo card for you also when its finished

My friend just checked, the game added to blacklist is Monster Hunter 4 (Japan) - comes out there today.

Seems kinda silly that they'd push a US/EU update for a game that isn't out in those regions yet, but then again when has Nintendo ever made any sense?

Also they seem like to have included only the JP title ID so expect another trash update when it hits europe.

I didn't know there was a revision D, nice to know.
It wasn't necessary to take a picture of the PCB, a simple comfirmation, by looking at the site shown at the front of the card would be enough.
What's the boot icon from your card?
Have you done any other firmware update beside v6.2.0-12?

Ya. I tried the 6.2.0-12 patch to make sure it can patched it wo issue Running woodr4 v1.62 that is DL from r4ids.cn
