I have a very weird and irritating mark on the screen. It was very disorientating as the top screen is the main screen in pokemon and this mark is highly irritating, and I dunno how to get rid of it. You can see it is covering around 6-7 pixels.

My 3DS (not XL) is a month old and is black in colour.

Clearly, this mark is not on the LCD, and is on the second protective screen - I know as the mark is projecting a shadow as well.

I tried using deodorant and alcohol to remove this stupid mark, but it's not helping!

Please help! How do I remove it?

Doubt it's dead pixels. It might be dust under the screen. Dead pixels don't usually cover a bunch of pixels in a group.

Try turning the system off and looking at the screen under a very bright light source. See anything unusually under the area? If you do, it's dust. If not, it's probably dead pixels and you should get an exchange if the store lets you or RMA if you can't. If it turns out to be dust dust, you should probably do the same thing.

You can actually rip the shell off, the screen has a replaceable shell protected the actual screen. You can pull it off from the 3D slider]

( Without loosing warranty, just put it back after ur done. )

That's weird I had that same exact mark on my 3DS XL (almost in the same position aswell) it just came out of no where like a week ago, I emailed nintendo about it and they recommended that I send it in for repair and I have like 1 month left on my warrenty so I did and waiting for its return now and hopefully they will have fixed it.

It's not dead pixels as it's on the plastic screen and it casts a shadow on the main lcd as well. It's a weird mark.

I've tried a lot of things trying to get rif of it but it's not working.

I got it from the USA, but now I'm back in India - so therefore no warranty.

Anyone know where I can get a spare front plastic panel to replace this?

Can't you just take the plastic off, clean off whatever is causing that mark, then put it back? Or will taking it off damage it badly?

Might sound like a noob while saying this, but I dunno how to take it apart. Not an expert in all that. Might watch some youtube videos to teach myself and do it.

One of the sites that weren't blocked on the school's network was some file uploading sites. I would upload some games, write down the URL and take it to school one day.

It was easy to bypass some of the restrictions, as one of the admins left a registry key in the administrative shares drive, which allowed me to get around the blocking of some sites.
