A lot if not all games have their own controller mapping. Well at least I have no problems with fighters.
You mean the adapter has different settings for different games, or are you just talking about re-mapping them in the game?

Actually, that's the correct PS3 button mapping... just rotated 90 degrees counter-clockwise. :/
Not really, 90 degrees counter clockwise would be:
Y=Triangle
B=Square
A=Cross
X=Circle

Re-mapping them in the game

The adapter has 2 options which are Dinput and Xinput. Only in Dinput mode works on the PS3. Of course this adapter is NOT MEANT to be used on the PS3, I just had some curiosity and tried it.

Oh, well that's a letdown. Does it work correctly on a 360?

Just got the adapter and took it for a test drive.

-Dinput mode works great, up to 4 controllers at once, LED indicates the player and controller number.
-Syncs fast and power button turns off controller while adapter goes into standby mode; press any button to wake controller.
-Home button doesn't work in Dinput.
-You can switch to and from Xinput/Dinput on the fly without disconnecting device, just flip the switch on the adapter.
-In Xinput the controller is recognized as an Xbox 360 Controller, the force feedback and every button works including the Home button, BUT.... while in Xinput mode, the X and Y buttons are switched with one another and so are the A and B.

If the main reason you want to buy this adapter is to replace the Xbox 360 controller to play Windows games with a Wii U Pro controller, I would NOT recommend it, or at least wait until they fix the button layout problem. But I wouldn't hold my breath. Other wise, it makes a good Dinput device for the Wii U Pro. I hope KeyPuncher finds a way without vJoy.
Nexy stop is crediar's HID test.

It's not a bad device other than the bad button mapping in Xinput mode. I hope Mayflash fixes the problem or at the very least release a new version with the correct mapping. I did sent an email to their online manager which I'm sure was disregarded. :p
But I think it will work with Nintendon't.

They actually can not release the "correct" mapping. It wouldn't make sense, games with Quick Time Events that ask you to press "A" on a 360 controller wouldn't magically visually change it to "B" Icon on screen to match the Wii U Pro, it would still say "A", and then you would have to remember to press "B" on the U Pro. Awkward. You would have to memorize the button layout because the letters won't match up if they flipped the mapping. But if you think about it, a 360 controller has X and A NEAR the right joystick, even though the Wii U Pro Controller is a different layout, X and A are also NEAR the right joystick. So it should be an easy switch.

Remember, Microsoft are the ones who changed the layout mapping, NOT Nintendo, they had this setup since the Super Nintendo. But I can understand if you are use to a 360 controller, muscle memory is hard to break. Its been a few years since I really got to use a 360 controller so the switch to the U Pro controller was super easy for me. Personally, I have been absolutely loving it!

I was referring to Mayflash changing their hardware (Wii U Pro to USB adapter) to match the Xbox 360 controller button layout, to make it easier to play in Xinput mode for the very reason you gave above. I was not referring to Microsoft changing or patching software.

In addition, I've tested the W009 and it responded well to crediar's HIDtestV4, in Dinput mode of course. Some of the values for the X and Y axis and the C-tick were unstable by 1 bit or so, everything else was solid. In the end, this may be another wireless solution to Nintendon't for those with WiiU Pro controllers.

so is the xbox ybax layout optimal for a wii u pro controller? Just curious because of the right joystick's placement above the lettered buttons instead of below them...

Ok, I just got mine in and I'm having a weird problem. Whenever I try to configure something, one of the sticks in always going in a certain direction. I tried re-calibrating, but it had no effect.

Edit: OK, now it's saying the Z-Axis is always on.

Edit 2: Never mind, it seems to work with the other controller option. By the way, can you use this with x360ce to make the buttons map correctly?

I don't have the mayflash adapter, but am using the modified dll's. I think the reverse layout (B is A) works better. Sometimes I actually press A instead of B, but really that's the only mistake. When going for the direct placement (A is A) it's very easy to get X and Y mixed up for me. In the end though it's all about what you prefer. The joystick placement doesn't really mean much really, the classic controller uses the same layout and the joystick is below.
