Hardware Sim Card for ps Vita

Hello,
I have a 3G Ps Vita, and I was wondering if I bought a second sim card through optus, would my phone plans "3G" work on the vita? and would I recieve text messages on my vita?

I'm not an Aussie, but apparently the Australian (Vodafone) Vita 3G is unlocked. So yes, an Optus SIM would work

thanks bro. one last question, does it have to be a sim card that has a Data only plan, or can I use a sim from my phone that has both call/text credit, but also has 1.5gb data ?

It may depend on the provider, but as far as I know any SIM/account with a data allowance is fine.

I just received my sim card for my PS Vita, and I can confirm that a Sim account with text/data allowance will work with the Vita. On top of just getting 3G, you will also be able to receive all text messages on that number (you cannot reply)
