Currently im thinking of getting a gaming computer i already decided about specs but cant decide about the screen card since im not really good at them.Im planning to play games at high settings.

Im looking for something which can last years but under 300$ or near it.

My pc case is small and yes...its an alienware x51...everybody said it was crap but i like it :) and the bigger cases dont fit in my desk.
I have lots of furniture lol

Alright, that looks like it can fit a single-slot card that's not too long... though the lack of proper ventilation worries me.

If i put a cooler under the machine will it work?
overheat crash is like a nightmare...dat blue screen...

I'm a bit confused about your post

You bought one or you're about to buy one?

2. Are you talking about the x51 or the x51 mini?
the x51 mini is limited to gtx 660 while the x51 can be sold with a gtx 670

3. Why are you looking to upgrade from a gtx 660?
this is 2013 hardware, any upgrade you can do right now won't have impressive performance gain, you'll have to wait and see if there's something good that can fit your case in the gtx 7x0 or hd 8xx0 series, if not you'll have to wait next year or the one after.

If you are to throw away that gtx 660, send me a pm, I'll gladly pay for the postage if you could send it to me instead.

Err, it looks like it can fit double-height cards, actually. Look at the pic, above the DVI ports there's clearly another slot with vents.

Two screwholes too :P

That's what I saw originally looking from the vents, but you can see near the end of the card it's overlaying the optical drive, which takes up the room of one slot. So unless the card's shaped like this...

Well, the current one IS a double-height, and it doesn't seem to have any problem fitting :P

The gtx 760 has the same TDP (thermal design power) than the gtx 670, meaning that if dell can fit a x51 with a gtx 670 without overheating, it's possible to fit a 760 without overheating, in fact, according to tom's hardware testing, the 760 consume 10w less.
But the gtx 670 is stronger than the gtx 760.

if you aren't afraid of getting your hands dirty, you could always build one yourself.
