i have just noticed how cheap the 3ds is. i mean on amazon.co.uk a 3ds only cost 137 ,compared to a ds lite that cost 129:wtf:. my gues is becasue the 3ds is not selling so well,so therefore is cheap.but do you think the price will drop even more?and therefore i shoul wait.or will the price raise, if it begins to sell better? and therefor i should by it now.

How many 3DS games do you want to play? You need to assess whether the titles available are worth the cost, not whether the cost of the system is low enough.

It's a bit odd, but the price for the DS-lite is because they are discontinued.

Since they are no longer being made, people are trying to sell them at a higher price.

The 3DS is currently being made, so it readily avaliable. So they are going to be cheap-ish, especially if it's a used one.

End result is that you'll find them within similar price ranges.

One reason is that there is the XL/LL version available. Second reason is that the 3DS has been around for at least 2 years already, price cuts happened since then. Cheap is if you consider 137 to be low enough for you to get one.

Do you seem to even have any pressing need to get a 3DS in the first place? Like getting the gateway flashcart?

Uhm, 3DS is selling really well. It's not cheap because "it's failing". The DSlite is so expensive now, since its considered a "collectors item" due to it being discontinued.

If you have to wear glasses to read or see anything near, you should consider getting the 3DS XL instead of the 3DS. Larger print is better on eyes, you will not have to squint so much.

Agreed. And if you're wanting a DS, same goes for the DSi XL (instead of the DSLite). The Walmart nearest me still has a couple DSi XL's, for $129 I think.

yes on a danish second hand website

if the 3ds is very cheap, be vary. it might be damaged, have scratches, broken L/R Buttons or something like that.
if they're barely used, they should easily sell for 100-120, just slightly below new ones. 88 sounds like something is wrong.

you should be able to find a cheap ds lite/phat in some gamestores though. my closest gamestop has them for 50€.

as for 3ds size, i like the xl one better. it feels sturdier to me, everything basically feels as if its going to last much longer than the last systems.

RiiShop is the laziest way of downloading Wii games. Did somebody not think of this through?

although i ended up accidentally changing my nand with no way of going back bc i didn't know you needed a gamecube controller to restore it (i have a wii minus/1.1, which doesn't have gamecube controller support)
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@BakerMan, I think you're talking about the recovery mode that the SaveMii used, and also was to restore softbricked systems.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
If your NAND was hardbricked, then just buy another Wii. Or go with the dirty NAND flasher method.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
and if i find the sd card i have my NAND backed up on, i can not only restore the NAND if i solder the right part in, but i can also put my NAND on dolphin, then i can play dolphin online, like PMEX Remix or MKWii Riibalanced

@BakerMan, Oh yeah, that was a thing too. Dolphin does support Wiimmfi.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
yeah you just need to put your NAND backup with wiimmfi on it
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
ngl i feel like if a bunch of my friends have wiis and know how to get wiimmfi and back up their NAND, then we could do a PMEX Remix tournament
