I dumped Brawl to extract some files, and would like to know how to merge the two WBFS files into a complete ISO?

Thanks,
Shane.

Gambia, The
the files are simply split without any header or such
if you don't want to use a manager you can simply concatenate the two files
eg "cat X.wbfs X.wbf1 > largeX.wbfs" (in most operating systems, windows is of course different (copy \b ?))

In windows it's "copy /B part1.ext + part2.ext full_file.ext"

Do not forget the /B (for binary) or it will corrupt the resulted file.
It doesn't delete your existing file, it creates a new one so you need enough space to store the newly created file.

You can also use WiiBackupManager to load wbfs/wbf1 split files and save it as ISO, so you can open the file in WiiScrubber or TruchaSigner.

@fatherjack: I tried that and it can't open the WBF1 file.

@Cyan: Yep, that's what I plan on doing after I merge the two files.

you never mentioned about 'opening' it, you asked.

wii backup manager can do that for you.
make sure the .wbfs and .wbf1 are named the same and in the same folder, launch WBM, under 'inactive' choose your drive / custom folder and it will mount it and show any / all games present.
click the checkbox and highlight the (large) game you require, then Transfer > ISO> choose where you want the ISO and WBM will make it there :)

Click your 'drive 1' or 'drive 2' tabs and a drop-down box appears at top left to choose what directory you want to mount.
It's pre populated as 'inactive'
:)

1. You replied to an old OLD (emphasis on the old) thread/post.
2. I have yet to stumble on a file explorer that can unzip multiple files at once. You're better off using a pc.

What if I don't have the money or own a pc. I simply just wanted to know a nice file manager that does that

Besides, I am not alone trying to get games to work

Sorry, I know this is an old thread. But how can I merge the two if WBM doesn’t detect the wbs1 file and if I rename it it won’t import them?

@SylverReZ, atleast wiimmfii went fine although people only use it for Mario kart Wii

At least if they ban you for cheating, get another Wii. They're cheap as chips.

    not really

It got shutdown because somebody "accidentally" leaked the database for the amount of people using the beta.

RiiShop is the laziest way of downloading Wii games. Did somebody not think of this through?
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
although i ended up accidentally changing my nand with no way of going back bc i didn't know you needed a gamecube controller to restore it (i have a wii minus/1.1, which doesn't have gamecube controller support)
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@BakerMan, I think you're talking about the recovery mode that the SaveMii used, and also was to restore softbricked systems.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
If your NAND was hardbricked, then just buy another Wii. Or go with the dirty NAND flasher method.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
and if i find the sd card i have my NAND backed up on, i can not only restore the NAND if i solder the right part in, but i can also put my NAND on dolphin, then i can play dolphin online, like PMEX Remix or MKWii Riibalanced

    Brb
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@BakerMan, Oh yeah, that was a thing too. Dolphin does support Wiimmfi.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
yeah you just need to put your NAND backup with wiimmfi on it
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
ngl i feel like if a bunch of my friends have wiis and know how to get wiimmfi and back up their NAND, then we could do a PMEX Remix tournament

maybe even add UMVC3/DBFZ and make it a biathlon/triathlon
