Because your PC is not a phone.
I don't get it, why do you need your phone hooked into your pc, when you could do the same thing on your pc? Also from youtube, it seems some apps will scale bad.

"Yes, we agree. This issue is partially solved by app developers of different apps. We also have another Android launcher that starts when we plug it in. This other launcher is at a lower DPI setting, so it's definitely possible. Look to Kaiten Mail for another option, tablet mode is available in that app." Meaning each app developer would need to support it....

It's for if you have a phone but not a laptop. You can then use your phone as a phone and also as a laptop. You can't make phone calls from a laptop.

It's pretty pricey for what it does, but I see the purpose behind it.

Oh ok I see now, I thought that the bar just hooks to your laptop. I would say it would be better to save up for a laptop tho, but it is better then what I thought it was.

If it was $100-150, I'd be interested, but I'd rather just by a crappy laptop for $250, and it would still probably run better than my phone.

This is for people who don't have a laptop or don't want to buy another one on top of a new phone. If you can use your phone to write documents, web browse, and facebook (you know the light stuff) with the same comfort and convenience as a laptop, why buy (or an another) laptop?

It would be a better concept if it was a bit cheaper.

with the phone connecting in the position that it does, when typing your right hand will rest on the screen, causing all sorts of problems. You'll be typing away and suddenly switch tasks, close apps or phone someone.
Plus, its quite a daft idea, when you can get a laptop or netbook with more power than most peoples phones, designed for the job and cheaper than this device.
