Today I went to toys r us and purchased the Nyko UBoost for the Wii U gamepad..for anyone that has it, I am confused as to how to use it..it does not come with any instructions..I just put it in the gamepad which was easy but I am charging it on my charging base and the uboost light is RED..not sure if that means that I have to keep on charging it til the light goes off..on the box it says on the back that the light is on when its fully charged but I just got it and its already fully charged? So if anyone has this accessory please let me know how to properly use it..Thanks

when it's fully charged, the light turns green on the new battery. after that to use it, you just press the button (the one next to the light) and it will activate the new external battery, which will start charging the controller

you should have waited till they released their super battery it's claimed to triple the battery life.
HAHAHAHAHA.....seriously doubting if that battery is ever going to come out, the release date keeps getting pushed back and back and back. Last I heard was May 1 but I just checked again and it's saying May 15 which is about the 6th time I seen the date change. I am supposed to get it for free when it comes out but I am seriously considering the Uboost at this point. I could of had that for free too because gamestop called me to come pick up my powerpak and I showed up and it was the Uboost.

Is the Uboost easy to take on and off? I would like to charge it, take it off, and then put it on as needed. Also when its off can you set it on the charging cradle with out the gamepad to charge? I am assuming you can charge it with out a cradle only by connecting it to the game pad and plugging in.

the uboost looks stupid though plus it adds all that extra weight onto the pad the fucking thing is heavy enough already. and plus you won't be able to use protective sleeves with it which i do.

it's real easy to take off, it just slips on and uses a screw point (like cameras use for tripods) you can charge it independently (has a plug port) or on the controller (where it will also charge the controller through the battery). It has the same connectors on the bottom, so you can easily slip it into the cradle and charge it.

As for the weight, it doesn't add too much to where you would really notice the difference (and it's not exactly like you are going to see it from the front of the controller.

The part i actually like best about it is the built in stand, i don't have to go looking for the little rinky dink stand that came with the system and I can also adjust the viewing angle by extending it out a little more.

So I got the uboost and it is easy to take on and off. So I just charged it and will put it on as needed. It beats having to plug in and the gamepad is not too bad with it on at all.

Hopefully the power Pak will come out some day but I got tired of waiting and GameStop gave me the uboost free.

and by the looks of it, the power pack will be no bigger than the original. So, we should easily be able to use both at once...........UNLIMITED COSMIC POWER, itty bitty living space.

I have mine completely charged..when I was using the gamepad(Playing Toki Tori 2) I noticed that the gamepad battery was getting low so I turned on the Uboost..when I turned it on the UBoost itself was red(Even though I had it completely charged) and the gamepad light was also red but when I checked I saw a little charge sign next to the battery..does it mean its working? I just expected the Uboost to stay green since it was completely charged

u-boost stays orange when it is on, only turns green to show you can take it off the charger
when the batter on the uboost gets low it will start flashing

it usually doesn't stay lit up after you plug it in unless you turn it on first, but again, the green is just to show that it is at 100%, anything else will be orange
