The fact is you have the choice to avoid updates, it's your fault for having the spotpass settings on and getting updates automatically, switch it off and ta-da no more 'forced update's' as you call them.

Also, it seems not one other person has had this 'forced update' even with all the nintendo stuff running. I have had mine on sleep and had Wifi/Street Pass/Spot pass all enabled and still get questioned on updating, not just forced, and lets say you're correct and didn't simply make a mistake, no one is forcing you to have spot pass/street pass on so why not turn them off if you're going to whine that your r4 might potentially not work. If you're not an idiot you will always have the chance to wait for new firmware for your r4.

It also may be a regional thing.
But turn off your settings, stop making stupid little whinny kidish comments about my age or IQ and shut up.
I get that yours updated, but you only have yourself to blame.

Nintendo warm you by heating the Battery then LOL

NO THAT FACT IS THEY DO NOT HAVE TO!
i proved this to you earlier
You Read the Agreement
i quoted extracts

Nintendo do not have to do anything
its just polite when they do

well if there is not internet its OBVIOUS that you wont get the update
its not powered by fairy dust and gremlins deliver the files
I didn't say the had to, I'm saying the simply wont, they never have and they never will.
I never claimed I was right, And i did indeed see the agreement.

I am not talking about 'Wifi' I am talking about spotpass or streetpass.
You can still use the internet/online game services without either. Jesus can you read my posts before going into all caps rage?

Spotpass is WiFi, hence why you auto connect to Spotpass Hotspots
Street pass is a Local Area Small Network

hence why when you make a Letter it only gives you those 2 choices
THen dont use letters as its nintendo related, you can still use normal WiFi and online game services as well as browsing with the web browser.
SpotPass and StreetPass make no difference if you have a consistent WiFi connection.

spotpass is internet... spotpass is wifi... what you mean by 'disabling' you mean disable auto update through spotpass or disable sending information to nintendo through spot pass, thats the only 2 options available to disable/enable... you cannot disable spotpass unless you use the 'disable wireless' button on the side of the console

hell i connected to the e-shop on the train without making a wifi connection

Okay, I just picked my 3DS to confirm this (5.1.0-11E) and I left Spotpass on for a few minutes and it already downloaded the update and it's waiting for my confirmation:
"Ready to start system update. Update now?
(You must update system before this software download can complete.)
B) Cancel A) OK

But I am still not sure what it meant by "(You must update system before this software download can complete.)" Can anybody clarify this, please?

oh, i think it means that it wants to download something but you need to update the system before it can download, so press A and update the system. Then see what new app comes

    Exactly.

Thor from "Pirate Software" said its just better to pirate the game than buy from a keyshop if you care about the devs

devs don't get hit with the chargebacks, the keys are free to generate

since the key gets bought with a stolen credit card

there's nothing to charge back because the keys don't cost them money to generate in the first place

If the game has a crack sure
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Most these crack sites have dead links anymore or the crack don't even work
  • linuxares @ linuxares:
@The Real Jdbye What don't you get? If someone use a stolen creditcard. Then sell said key on G2A. If I the dev sold the game key, I will get the charge back cost. That's how it works, it doesn't matter if I generate 300 keys if 300 of them are bought with stolen credit cards. I never said it was on Steam, but its the dev that gets hit. There is a ton of stories out there if you google it.
