Android Epsxe Android Compatibility List

Does anyone know of one that exists? I seem to run into a few problems here and there with the emulator, but only in the game select menu!

Example, i have 7 ISOs on my SD card that work perfectly fine, I have a '2 - Gateway to Glimmer' ISO which i'm hoping to play soon, but when i put it on the SD card it fails to show as well as making FF7 disappear from the list! :S

FF7 still plays when browsing files, but Spyro 2 will not, it has a 'SYSTEM.CNF' error so I guess it's a bad ISO. This only happens when the Spyro ISO is converted to .BIN though, as it was originally .ecm. Putting the ECM version on the SD everything works except only the Spyro ISO cannot be seen or played still haha

it's boggling my mind!


Anyways, if there's no Epsxe Android list i'll post the games I've got working on my Sony Xperia T.

Crash Bandicoot 2 - Cortex Strikes Back (NTSC U - SCUS-94154)
Played through first warp room, Perfect!

Digimon World 2003 (PAL - SLES-03936)
Played through entire game with no problems whatsoever!

Final Fantasy 7 Disc 2 (NTSC U - SCUS-94164)
Game's Working fine so far, completed Disc 1 using Wii emulator so not sure if Disc 1 is the same!

Spyro - Year Of The Dragon (NTSC U - SCUS-94467)
Girlfriend is currently playing this, No anti-piracy messages yet, world 1 is 100% completed and had no glitching. Audio occasionally doubles up during speech, EG: 'Hey spyro! what are you doing you doing?'Only Minor, easy to ignore

Tomba! (NTSC U - SCUS-94236)
Works fine from Start to finish for me.


Tomba! 2 (NTSC U - SCUS-94454)
Only played for 5 minutes but the game works fine for the first section, sometimes laggy but only occasionally, definitely playable!

I've had no issues playing Spyro 2, but my ISO is .img .ccd .sub.

FFVII All 3 discs work fine.

I can confirm that all the Spyro games work near 100%, I've also experienced some audio issues mentioned about 3.

Legend of Legaia has played perfectly so far for me.

Guardians Crusade also plays perfectly, no issues with audio or anything.

Try a different copy of Spyro 2, it must be a bad dump. The ECM format is not supported by any emulators that I know of, so that's why you didn't have the issue when it was in ECM format.
Also the thing with FF7 disappearing from the list sounds like a bug. You should report this to the ePSXe devs (Twitter may be a good way to reach them)

Wow... Exactly 1 year since i posted this and i just googled ePSXe android compatibility and discovered my own post by accident hahaha Didn't even notice till it loaded! Anyways:

The ECM format is not supported by any emulators that I know of, so that's why you didn't have the issue when it was in ECM format.

Actually the ePSXe DOES support .ecm format and not badly either! The issue with FF7 disappearing was a bug that the ePSXe team informed me to install a newer more updated version which i did, and since then the list has worked fine! Can't remember if that sorted out the spyro disc for me though, that was a long time ago!

Actually wondering if Gran Turismo 2 is fully compatible with the emulator, otherwise is Gran Turismo 1? Have a hankerin for some old school GT!

There are pretty much no games that dont work more or less perfectly on EPSXE on android. I've got over a hundred on a tablet and the only ones Ive found to have slight issues are Loaded and Wipeout 3 (small graphical glitches). Everything else has worked flawlessly.

Yeah, ePSXe has pretty much perfect compatibility with games at this point, it's been pretty well developed for Android.

Would be a lot shorter to post any games found that didn't work.

I think the ePSXe team said they have 95% of the games working perfectly and something like 4.9% working great with only minor glitches, leaving something like .01% not working at all or badly glitched.

My favorite emu on the Android, just so very very polished and the latest version is improved in so many ways it's not even funny. They even managed to get the cheat codes working for Gran Turismo 2! (I never used any cheats on it back in the day so having a lot of cash with out having to work 200 hours for it is kinda fun...)
