I'm curious though. If one lost access to both the eShop and System Settings, how would they update to this new firmware?From what I have read, it's an update to fix the problems from the last update, i.e people that updated before and lost access to system settings, and eShop.

Ah, so the automatic downloads still work. Does that mean anyone who has the bug and turned off automatic updates is boned?On my 3DS, the update happened over SpotPass and was completed instantly. I think it would probably be a forced update from the last one.

I don't like automatic updates, what if my power goes out at the same time?
They'd have to make updates dead minimal thus ruining the point of an update.
I prefer to control when my system updates or not.
Always a risk with updating no matter how official it is.
