The power isn't in question, nor is the technicalities.

It's the site you linked. What you linked its fake, it's a scam. They use the survey sites, hiding fake files behind them, to get money out of people kike you that try to download the files.
I never take surveys XD
This download (tried it) works like ISOHunt, it asks you to install a plugin, or click on a sponsor link, ignore that, click it again then you get the real download.
It booted fine (no install required) only it gave 2 errors, one said my system was too slow to do anything, the other said I needed a BIOS file in the same directory as the emu (no special .dll file with special installations etc).
So far, no survey sites.

System requirements (from site):

Following is a short list of system requirements for running PS3Emulator:
Minimum(low fps)
Windows/Mac OS
* CPU: Dual Core 2.0GHz or equivalent processor
* RAM: 2 GB
* HDD: 10+ GB(mainly for ROMS)

Recommended(will play 50/60 fps)
* OS: Windows 7/Vista/XP/Mac OS (32 or 64 bit)
* CPU: Quad-core Intel or AMD CPU
* RAM: 4 GB
* HDD: 10+ GB
* Videocard: 1 GB Graphics Memory

(maybe it should be tried out by an admin or some trusted guy here before saying its 100% fake? http://hackingnation.org/ps3-emulator/ )

You'll never get it running. They pulled the same thing with the 3DS, they toss an actual program at you, but it's not an emulator, and these other files they say it requires are fake too.

We've known about that site for a while.

It's. A. Fake.

They don't exist? Then what is: http://ps3.emulatorx.info/
Thanks for the link on the sensor bar though, comes in handy ;)

Well, I'll keep hunting.
Though I've only heard people complain about framerate though...

You have people here, complaining that it's fake.

Do you like money? I like money. Here's an idea to make some money:
1. Design a keylogger that'll capture people's banking info, and sends it to you.
2. Make it look like a PS3 emulator, so people willingly install it.
3. ???
4. Profit!

Don't forget to try out the Xbox 360 and 3DS emulators, linked at the bottom of the page.

Actually I like art more than money XD

All the same, I'll keep hunting...

Well, I'll keep hunting.
And you'll keep not finding anything that plays retail games well for a while.

Wasting your time until somebody actually comes out with one.

I'd humor you and ask where, but you should know from all the youtube stuff how easy it is for people who do this stuff (who, BTW, seem to work in groups nowadays) to make fake accounts and just set filters so only the comments THEY WANT show up (which is the ones they make).

1. I don't spend all my time looking for one, at all. Most of the time I spend on a pc is using it for artistic purposes.
2. I don't ever trust youtube when it comes to things like emulators, I do trust (somewhat, though still skeptically) forums similar to these.
Its not like I found this emu and posted here about it first thing.
3. I'll keep hunting because its impossible that the PS3 can be hacked but no emu has been made of it. Computers are certainly powerful enough to play a simple PS3 game at low settings.

First of all, the PS3 has a CPU with many cores. Additional cores add a HUGE load to emulation, as cores need to be synched and that's a HUGE strain/overhead.

Second, it's not just about the power. Somebody needs to have actually made one. The PS3 has been considered hacked for much less time than other systems that have working emulators.

Alien ware gaming pc:
pros: Intel® Core™ i7-3770 (3.40GHz, 8MB L3 Cache, 4C)
mem: 16GB5 Dual Channel at 1600Mhz - 2 DIMMS
vid: 1.5GB GDDR5 NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 660

PS3:
pros: PowerPC-base Core @3.2GHz
mem: 256MB XDR Main RAM @3.2GHz
vid: costum, doesn't say power in specs

... I think it could be handled... though at the same time yeah, not much what I found about the video/graphics card power...

Of course I use them in fact, ds scene was the first one that i tried. I actually use dsx86 almost every day (it´s a shame no one has ported this one or dosbox wii to the gamecube, you know, to avoid make efforts to appreciate well the ds screen and save my sight) and want to give a try to Nitrografx new release.

Well you know jack shit about emulation then?

1 - Clock for clock, the PS3's CPU runs much faster than other things that are being emulated nowadays. This isn't about power, but frequency. This means that the emulator needs to sync/time things a hell of a lot per second, and this is often the killer when emulating multi-core things (keeping everything synced). This was one reason that Saturn emulation was notoriously difficult, it had more cores to emulate and keep synched than anything else at the time.

2 - The PS3 has many more cores. Each of them is relatively-weak on their own, but they all need to be emulated, and each additional core is compounded drain because not only is it one core, but it also needs to communicate with all the other cores, and adds one more core that all the previous cores need to sync with as well.

And I'm not even going to go into other details because those alone kill it for the time being.
