Once a homebrew inevitably is released what do we want to be seen made, then maybe if some developers need any ideas they can cast there eye over here, therefore I will update the list below with ideas that seem reasonable and possible with the hardware available (e.g. no xbox 360 emulator or other things that require a super computer). I will also try to cross out various items and provide it with a like if I see it being made somewhere else.

Now the list:
  • Graphics tablet for the pc;
  • Various older console emulators that could stream to the tablet;
  • Obviously some people will want wii u backup iso's to run;
  • Kinda aside but some development tools for the wii u, maybe a modded version of devkitpro;
  • Ability to watch blu-rays (may not be possible depending on how the disk reader works);
  • 3DS emulator with the ability to use both screens;
  • Media playback including streaming to tablet;
  • vWii on gamepad (maybe use touch screen as pointer?);
  • Wii emulator to upscale wii games to HD, much like dolphin;
  • eShop type system for downloading games and DLC;
  • Cydia like download system with Wii U menu installing;
  • And more of your ideas here.

Maybe some sort of addition or workaround for TVii, an example is that it is not available in Australia or Europe (I think)

DS emulator. That would be brilliant with the gamepad (though I have a 3DS XL so kind of pointless)
That would be pretty cool. I would like that just for the comfort of playing it on the big screen and being able to relax, never really like the idea of playing a handheld at home and the only time I am on the move I am on the bus and most likely standing. To be added.

I hit that problem here in the UK, a little sad however most of the major tv companies are online themselves and have been for a while. Not sure how you could fix that because the main problem is licensing, it's not like nintendo don't want the service to run here. Best suggestion is to browse for it using the web browser.

I guess the majority of people on this forum are likely to use torrents anyway, but its just a service I cant use that would be cool. Ways around it could include inbuilt / homebrew support for ip forwarders / proxys. You are right that making it available is a nintendo issue and not fixable by homebrew, but there are homebrew options for accessing content that is available elsewhere.

You could just use a proxy then you will be in america as far as the console knows.

Both ideas added, the vWii on gamepad could be odd because it isn't a stable surface for the pointer to interact with.

But is not necessary the touch function, well, not for me, i can live without ds emulation. Just saying could be good play anything without need the tv. Play zelda in bed for example.

I have my wii u in my room so I can do that already but I understand where you are coming from, I also realised that there was a touch screen making it pretty simple. The only thing stopping that is being able to use the gamepad in vWii mode, maybe a PC relay could be used to convert the gamepads input to the system and grabs the video from the console? Depending on how the system is set up it might be impossible.

Good joke. There are no games on WiiU.
Playing wii titles thorough hdmi does not give any advantages compared to quality provided by dolphin. Upscaled vs native hd resolution rendering.

Another idea would be an alternative Wii emulator for the Wii U similar to dolphin. Basically since the vWii is basically straight up a Wii, it would be nice if we could use the extra power of the wiiU to upscale wii games to HD similar to Dolphin does.
