Xbox Dash 16203 released.

A new 360 dash has been released.
This dash (which only bumped the buildnumber by 1) now at 16203 has incorporated a new AP.

added new dashboard style, other security updates. Anti-Piracy 3.0, XGD 4.5 Challenge responses has been updated

As usually, I ask people with Xkeys/Flashed drives NOT TO UPDATE!
Updating your 360 could mean you'll get banned as there is a new AP scheme.
Please stay OFFLINE for the time being.

I'll update this thread when I know more about the situation.

Note: JTAG/RGH consoles have nothing to fear, other then another dash bump.
AP 3.0 and the new XGD 4.5 Challange responses are being ignored by JTAG'd/RGH'd consoles, since they only read gamedata (xex extracts)

It seems that it's safe to update.
I still keep AP3.0 in mind as well as the new XGD challenge responses.
MS has pulled more tricks like this (13604 silent DAE update)

As for now, Updating and playing online is at your own risk!

I think most of mine are still on the last one before the RGH killer so not a great problem. I will have to pay attention though as this seems to be the first proper update in a while.

Bets on whether BioShock Infinite will require it.

BS Infinite along with GTA 5 will prolly use this.

I wonder if Gears of war Judgement is using it (it's leaked), there is a abgx screen for it, but I have not bothered to check. Will be interesting to see if the firmware needs an update, considering all the, silver bullet, anti-piracy killed for good etc that got thrown around when the topology data rips came around.

I don't think GOW will use this.
Ofcourse it could be using the new AP features since the disc is leaked and the updates come before the major games.

JTAG/RGH consoles don't have anything to worry about.

None of the info is correct. There is no xgd 4.5 lol.Most of this info was obtained from wikipedia and c4 has not commented on any such security checks added.

It should also be noted that people are updating with no problems. There doesn't seem to be anything new related to AP and junk.

I'd still wait until its confirmed to be safe. People are updating with no issues but that doesn't make it safe.

uhhh if you're buying it for the internet then the Wii U has the better browser. Also other things to consider, so far no RROD, no online fees (wtf no other company does this), oh and best off all no advertisements after paying said fees, did I mention the lack of focus on disconnection from the gameplay... I mean Kinect, oh real focus on promoting Digital market, and not shafting the indie devs, and have you seen the price difference in memory expansion,
xbox 360s HDD 129.99 USD 320GB,
Wii U EHDD 64.99 USD 1TB.
In the 360's defense it has a vast library of titles, the excellent bungie made HALOs (stop lying to your self 4 was not the same w/o Bungie) , Gears of WAR, Fable (if that's your thing ) and the legendary Cross Game Chat.

Calm down everyone I'm just making a little fun of Microsoft try not to take this offensively.
