Looks pretty awesome. I'd love to get this for my 3DS as theres sadly not that many JRPG's on the system yet. I just hope they release the other DQ games like DQ 3(one of my personal favs) which was lastly released on the GBC.

Face animation looks a bit.... odd. Not a bit deal tho, liking the look of this and i really like the way the battles are sorta overhead/behind instead of first person coz i cannot stand the first person view point for most DQ battles, so this seems a little bit more tolerable for me.

It's a main Dragon Quest game, like V, VI and IX, so it'll probably be released in Europe roughly at the same time as in the US (the dif is usually only a few days).
Now the question is how long it'll actually take to localise this.. For DQ V it was 6 months, but for the others it was nearly a year or more....
Oh, and porting 8 wouldn't make much sense, the other games have been remakes, this one included, remaking 8 for the 3DS wouldn't be very logical... Well... Tales of the Abyss was a direct port, but it was the first time the game was released in Europe, DQ VIII has already been released everywhere.


Well, I played the PSX one years ago, this was quite a good game, seems like they improved a couple of things, DQ has always been my fave RPG series. <3

Possibly, but its heavy overuse is beginning to feel the same way as modern docters diagnosing ADD in kids today.

When people use the word "Epic" nowadays, what they really mean is "generic and lacklustre"

Can't wait for the remake of 10 in a few years time.

you're right, the online game. i didnt know it was actually a numbered title. i thought it would be similar to dragon quest sword.
