^^ Interesting, I got a few new games over the past couple of days, about 6 of them, I'll be testing this over the weekend. Unfortunately tonight will not be the night.

@Fledge68 the full count of Fanart I have is 302. I'm currently uploading a .7z file, link will follow tomorrow most likely due to my insanely slow upload speed and cuz I won't be home later tonight ;) Also I'm unable to test r875 tonight but I'm looking forward to it tomorrow.

If anyone is interested here is my categories_v4.ini file updated for r852 and later revisions:

http://www.mediafire.com/?m665cmgbk8l6q19

It has the main GameTDB categories set on all 1287 games in my 3TB collection as well as the ESRB ratings set for each game. Here are the categories:

cat1=Action
cat2=Adventure
cat3=Fighting
cat4=General
cat5=Health
cat6=Music
cat7=Racing
cat8=Role Playing
cat9=Simulation
cat10=Sports
cat11=Strategy
cat12=Traditional
cat13=Theme
cat14=ESRB: Early Childhood
cat15=ESRB: Everyone
cat16=ESRB: Everyone 10+
cat17=ESRB: Teen
cat18=ESRB: Mature
cat19=ESRB: Adults Only
One thing I like about CFG is the ability to filter on a device like balance board and was wondering if there was any interest in more categories like that to match what CFG offers.

I've updated my 3TB list with a few more games (Deer Drive Legends, Dance Party Pop Hits and American Mensa Academy).

Here is the link to the new categories_v4.ini file with the correct categories (based on the above list) and the ratings set.

Thanks. I'm wondering if it is something peculiar with the single FAT32 partition or a bug in the newer lib files.

Yes actually I would be interested, I say the more options the better especially to complement and compete with other loaders. I'm sure we all want to make WiiFlow the best loader out there ;) Also could you add the hidden category to yours as well? It's complete up to you of course but I always add it and Abz has already included it in his latest pack, if it doesn't bother you maybe on your next update you can add that category as well?
all the games together, WiiWare, Wii, GameCube and emulators
for combined view
wii games do not start
thanks
Are you using the all plugins button or are you selecting each plugin individually? I'd like to get a quick list of bugs to report so Fix94 can take a look at it when he gets a chance.

I tried scandisk, no errors DB files in list folder were not 0 bytes.

I tried force cIOS for startup and it never loads.

-----

I scraped everything, fresh formatted SD card only thing on it was WiiFlow, no hdd plugged in.

New SD card takes 60+ seconds to load. (not just initial boot when generating files but all reboots)

Old SD card is little faster but still about 45 - 50 seconds.

I elminated pretty much every variable I can think of but still loading times are quite poor. It likes there is a 30 second hang between start Wiiflow and before it actually starts loading.

Sure - what's the hidden category do?

I have about a 10 second delay before the boot animation kicks off.

Have you tried deleting all of the cache/lists/db files?

Yeah, it was complete new wiiflow, no old files at all which really puzzles me.

I use to have just a 10 second delay but now it is up around 60 seconds.

@Fledge68 check your PM
tried both ways
wii games do not start
Hmm.. wait so are you choosing every plugin button AND the all plugins button as well? If you're just choosing all plugins and you can't launch wii games there's a problem, however do not choose every plugin button as well as the all plugins button because that would most likely cause issues. I know you're not from here so I'm sorry if I have a hard time understanding what you write sometimes.

Well a hidden category helps me hide specific covers in any view I want, it gives me full control of what I'd like to see in specific coverflow's, for example with emulators I can hide the double covers that are present in FBA & NEO-GEO Retroarch cores and many other beneficial uses a hidden category can provide, I'm sure Abz can give more examples as well ^_^

Really strange, so does going back to 4.0.2 fix your boot load speed?

now I'm selecting each plugin individually for combined view

I have no access to Wii until tomorrow night, I'll be attempting to reproduce bostonBC's cache list .db files bug and I'll be checking out if Wii Games launch with the allplugins button selected. No point in choosing every single button individually if the allplugin button does the same thing and most likely the proper way.

I'm sure Fledge can take a look at the code if something breaks if every source menu button is selected and combined but I don't think you should be doing that anyway lol.

It gives a marginal improvement, but load times are quite long. I do need 4.1 to use devolution and stock MIOS otherwise it locks off gc mode in 4.0.2.

All other apps load as quick as they ever had, because I was starting to think Wii hardware but Wiiflow seems to be the only one.

Is it only wii games that won't start? do they black screen or code dump? I tried it here and have no problem but I don't have a large number of games. do you have a lot of games when you combine all of them. if so then maybe you are running out of wii memory and when you try to start a game it won't.

@bostonBC I have had issues with 0 byte files and scan disk telling me it found errors of long filenames too usually to do with my emunand whenever I use savegame emulation. So I stopped using it. I have 500GB drive that's 3.0 compatible with one fat32 partition. I thought maybe the 3.0 might be the problem but don't really know. I also had an issue with wiiflow stalling for few seconds whenever it had to access the hard drive for emusaves or saving category settings. I fixed that by defragging my hard drive and it works perfectly. Maybe you should try that but it will probably take all day for your large drive. Good luck

500 games
I'm using emunand

Have u installed/deleted any games and refreshed the cache with the latest rev fledge68? That's how bostonBC is getting the corrupted .db file bug. I won't have an opportunity to do it until tonight.

@matto21 so is that 500 wii games or 500 total games including all emulator plugins?

whenever you update (change the boot.dol) to the latest version wiiflow automatically see's it's a new revision and deletes the lists cache and makes new ones. That's why it takes a while to start the very first time after updating. It's a feature Fix94 added a few revisions back. so yes I haven't had any probs with the lists cache

I'm not using any emu in Wiiflow but I am using USB 3.0 drives.

This isn't happening on a new WiiFlow version but the manual cache rebuild after I manually copy some new games into the wbfs folder on the PC and then plug it back into the Wii. I do the manual rebuild and then it happens.
