so you'd rather play the whole game with the gamepad? the mote when used properly can make a game great like in the prime games.
Ya I would. I really feel like the motion hindered the experience in Skyward Sword. For FP games like prime, It worked, but for Zelda, I thought it sucked.

....Demo Ninty.. Demo. Not this early of course. Maybe showing off the scenery, and doing the training mission inside what I believe was a dojo.

Much as I loved the motion controls in Skyward Sword, they require you to play the game exactly as the creators intended. I tried to hack and slash through everything and as a result, my wiimote got desynced near constantly and made the game frustrating as hell. Controls like that, no matter how nice (when played correctly), don't really let people enjoy the game in their own way.

What do you mean desynced?

I've put like 50 hours (or close to it) into the game so far with two different wiimotes, and never had it randomly desychronize on me...

Unless she means you have to constantly hit down on the d-pad.

To be honest, that's what I hate. With the way our room is set up, like this:

I have to play on an angle, and it wasn't fun at all. With the WiiU of course, it's entirely different.

This looks cool and all. It IS my favourite GameCube game but I don't like all the bloom Nintendo added. I can't explain it. It looks beautiful, yeah but the bloom, man. It looks less cell-shaded and just a lot of bloom so I'm not sure how I feel about it. But I'm gonna wait until I see it in-person and see how I feel about it before I mock it. My favourite part of Wind Waker was the art style and I've always wanted to see it in HD

that would be recalibrating, not resyncing. But yeah, I know what you mean.

And that living room layout sucks. My family's living room used to be like that (sort of), but it was long before i had a Wii. I can't imagine playing Wii motion games with that layout. :\

My parents don't want to. I told them this so many times too, they want it that way.
Good luck. It took my parents years to believe me about how annoying that setup is. :P

Why anyone would want their TV and couch set in such a way that you have to angle your neck for extended periods of time to watch 2-hour movies is beyond me. :P

Well my dad doesn't watch movies, which is dumb. But yeah I know, I said that too. It's been this way for like 4 years, could be the reason why I never got that big into Wii gaming because I couldn't enjoy it. I had no where else to play it. But now I have the WiiU, so it's okay. And the only time I get to play Wii games is when I'm home alone during the weekdays, so I just move the top couch in front of the TV. Still stupid though. It isn't that bad to move the neck, I just think it's a stupid set up.

I've got to agree with xwachtmanx here: this setup sucks*. Playing or watching television forces your upper body in a way different position than your lower body (or worse: just your neck), which is plain bad ergonomics (also: as is said). Unless the television in your house is considered one of these things that plays random images and sound in the background, I would seriously urge moving it if anyone in the house spends an average of an hour (or more) watching the thing.

*note: I'm in the middle of a move myself. As a result, I'm constantly measuring rooms and furniture to draw out the ideal solution on paper. This wouldn't come close to considering something similar.
