At least it's user related and not system related. It happens to every browser that is currently installed.

It may not be something universal, when you install something that comes with crapshit babylon software, it installs components in pretty much all current browsers vs being a universal problem.

^ - Yeah, that's a big issue nowadays, and those things technically aren't infections or illegal since when you click through the EULAs of programs you download, you could be agreeing to let them do this.

EDIT: Specifically, since they're not illegal or infections, AV programs won't touch them for fear of legal backlash.

There were nothing for the ipv4 config, those weren't configured. As for IE LAN settings there is nothing checked

And what about the in-browser stuff?
The same, nothing that screams virus.

This is irritating as I can't find the source of this problem, as I said aparrently those registry files for that type of virus don't exist yet I'm certain there is something on here. The question is how the hell do I find it. I tried googling this specific virus and couldn't find the things they say to delete.

I'd advise listing all of the plugins your browser has. No decent virus is ever going to make themselves obvious.

What are the differences though? This could be something that hitched a ride on a legit piece of software. Even things like uTorrent will bring in adware if you let them.

Also, the running processes list?

And a run of Malwarebytes on the new account?
I'll post some screenshots of it later.

I am going to recommend this for people experiencing issues like these.

It's a custom made hosts file, blocks a lot of this type of crap from working on your machine. Along with about 10,000 side benefits.

My favorite thing about it is that it blocks those interstitial advertisements....
