Speccy is showing 95 degrees celcius CPU with nothing open...
This is literally a brand new laptop. got it less than 2 weeks ago.

whats going on? It doesnt feel hot at all when im using it, you dont hear the fan working hard, and theres very little heat coming out of the side vents.
misreading hopefully?

I know the fan works because you can hear it when playing games

I wouldn't trust 'em, gave me false readings on every device I've used. I'd go with Core Temp for seeing how hot your processor is.

There's actually a lot going on in the background on any modern computer. Open the task manager (CTRL+SHIFT+ESCAPE) and go to the "processes" section. You can click the columns to sort them so you can see what's using up a lot of CPU (it's in percentage of the total).
only about 10% cpu usage when I did it and still same temp on CPU

See if your BIOS has a temp reading? It might be a bit more accurate, but from experience, everything's going to be a little off. You can try a couple other temp monitor programs, like SpeedFan or CPUID.

If no part of it feels exceptionally hot, the temp monitor might be picking up heat from a different source than the processor itself, such as the battery. Make sure to check it out without a battery and without charging to see if your temps change.

It's a program, it's extremely accurate.
Here: http://www.alcpu.com/CoreTemp/
Speccy is inaccurate and very misleading.
What is tj. max?

Also is 48 degrees Celcius the real reading, its not 95 like speccy says?

Ah, I meant two tests: one with no battery but running on the charger, and one with battery but not charging. From experience, laptops that both have their battery AND have the charger connected and powering the battery tend to run hotter.

TJ Max is the maximum temperature allowed before processor shuts down on their own.

As a rule of thumb, any temperature over 75C is cause of concern.

Oh with the battery its same on Speccy, and i havent tried yet without the battery. Its the same w/ and w/o the charger. It must be the battery, but im not relying on temp from speccy anymore, since i got coretemp :)
