After a long time in the scene in GBA and NDS, apparently the EZ-Team die...
The EZ-Team along with SuperCard Team have started the most of the flashcards idea, like now, the most powerfull Flascard (SuperCard DSTwo) from SuperCard Team is the latest, however, the EZ-Team has got far begin this... with the last update to fix the N3DS 4.0.0-7 for their last Flashcard (EZ-Flash Vi) almost six months ago... but, is they really die??

This is what one moderator and apparently a contact from EZ-Team said about the long time we have waited...
"OK guys, i think it's time for me to leave the place now, i failed to reach the main actor of the team, the engineer.
So don't count on a firmware update any soon.
The ez5i has a great hardware conception and i'm almost sure it's a breeze to this flashcart to get it working on the new 3DS firmware, but hey, without a pilote in the plane, a plane can't fly.

Now to all of you who posted in this forum, supported/helped me in my several threads, i just wish to thank you all.
It was a great adventure, and i feel very sad today. I have no words than "disapointed" in my mind today.

Take care of you all.

Mbmax."

Well, thinking about they have been a good Flascard Maker Team, makes me think, are they really die?? or are they making some progress in the scene for N3DS?? with all the fame they got with they previos FlashCards, I don't think they'll really leave all just like nothing... after all, the time will say...

Will we have something for the N3DS in a few months or years from Yellow8 and Neimod... or will the EZ-Team will surprise us with a new FlashCard before someother thing happen?? like I said before... only time will say....

Flashcards arnt EASY to update, as you have to find out what data the 3DS is asking for and checking
and now the 3DS and the DSi also check for a Save IC chip theres been hell

the next 3DS update will spell the end for many as the last game without a save IC will be blocked and that will be if for flashcards apart from those new ones now with save IC chips and emulators

the DSTwo can fully emulate a DS cart so this is why its never had any trouble
and also other flashcard are stuck with the issue of size of space for data that the consoles are checking for and the DSTwo is the only card at the moment that can store Extra Header Data on the Micro SD card

Neimods & Yellows8 method doesnt require a flashcard for the 3DS but it will require a method of dumping and Upping a save file from a 3DS card (the tools for this are already available)

That's what I hope EZ-Team were working for, a whole new more powerfull FlashCard, which (dreaming) have N3DS homebrew & games support...

It's just like a race, who will surprise us first?? a FlashCard Team or a Homebrew Team...

for our wallet, I hope Yellow8 and Neimod got some progress and release something first

AS far as surprising us first, it will be the hacker teams and not the flashcart teams. Flashcart teams generally use the work from the hacker teams to make their cards actually work

no the to use the SD card save hack you have to have already completed the Retail card hack
you need the consoles key to then modify the SD card saves

EZ-Team was only really good in the GBA times. It never regained its edge in the DS times. Supercard was always cheaper and better.

The EZ-IV has been a perfect GBA flashcard on budget, and pretty much the only thing produced in these last years.

The EZ-IV Deluxe for NDS was a good card, except I can remember it being pricey. EZ Flash V didn't bring anything new on the table, while being a really really good flashcard (not as good as Team SC's tho).

It's a shame to see them go like this. They should start producing EZ2 and EZ3 carts again for GBA retrogamers :P

Wow, people really don't want to face reality, do they. The 3DS is (at least 99.9%) hack-proof, otherwise a 3DS cart would exist by now, not just fleeting game-save exploits or DS-only flashcarts glued to 3DS retail carts. That's all we've seen, yet people throw their hopes sky-high as if to goad Nintendo or summon some ethereal charms.

Mbmax has been a true asset to the communities and a great help, especially at EZ-Flash, so I hope people don't get the wrong idea and start posting a heap of "DO YOU HEAR ME NINTENDO?!?!? YOU MADE ME SONY-BOY NOW!!!!". Mbmax (and a few others, I guess) have the history and right to talk like this... It doesn't mean just anyone can.

in fact, with the user interface, I felt better the EZ-Flash one, I know that the two flashcard had a customizable menu, but I'm with EZ-Flash (You can call me conservative) hehehe, in many aspects, I like more EZ-Team, ever EZ-Team give us a perfect service... this time something happen, and hopefully it's for a new FlashCard **cof cof** "EZ-Flash VII" **cof cof**

the last week, Fast6191 (EZ-Forums Moderator) have posted two threads...

"EZ5i does not work on 3ds 4.2.0-9 and DSi 1.4.5 or later"
"The 3ds firmware was released in June 2012 and the DSi one was released in December 2012.

Both will need updates to the internal EZ5i firmware and the newest DSi and 3ds updates. Sadly the EZTeam suffered a nasty setback and have since stopped doing much of anything so there is likely not one coming.
To make matters worse the newer 3ds and DSi updates improve security to the extent that the find a new game and port the hack to that method does not work (it checks the save as well). Theoretically the EZ5 could work around it for a few updates but that would still require the EZTeam to be around.

The only solution then to carry on with your EZ5i and the DSi/3ds is do not update to those firmwares mentioned or hope the 3DS gets hacked (things look somewhat promising) and the checks get disabled as a result. A handful of flash carts do still get some updates/hardware revisions, GBAtemp http://gbatemp.net/threads/which-flash- ... et.290097/ maintains a list of what goes here."

and later the second one...

"The future of the sosuke EZFlash forums"
"After many many years (they are/were probably the longest running flash cart team and certainly the oldest remaining one by 2012) it seems the EZTeam have stopped doing much of anything and the EZ4 is getting harder and harder to find so the forums here are likely to enter something resembling a state of hibernation.

The forums and site in general will remain open and moderated, though we have now moved to a moderator approval system to combat the increased amounts of spam we were seeing. In short new users will have to get their posts accepted (someone will probably wander along in the morning forum rounds) for the first few posts and older users can carry on as usual.
Time allowing we will try to put together a couple of "I found my old flash cart in a drawer, wonder if I can get some stuff going" packs of files and information- homebrew coders and ROM hackers know what goes and as far as commercial releases the GBA is long dead and a mostly sorted problem and DS is all but dead (the release schedules say pretty much a few pieces of what is almost certain to be shovelware and done by April) and potentially able to be sorted as well.

You can find most people from here on http://gbatemp.net/ too and they have EZFlash related sections where you can also get help with EZFlash products or general advice on GBA and DS games, homebrew and ROM hacks. Should the EZTeam return with an EZ6, a 3ds product or something like that we will still be here. Should you have purchased one of their PS3 products it is pretty much a case of it works or it does not as they are largely passive component based products.

The IRC channel (#ezflash on irchighway) which plays host to many of us should be continue to be active as well- viewtopic.php?f=16&t=246 has more."

I want to stress this part...

"Should the EZTeam return with an EZ6, a 3ds product or something like that we will still be here"

apparently it's a question.. but, is he saying something about the actual work of the EZ-Team??

Why sticking on a dead flashcard team?
It's gone, unfortunately, but it's truly gone.

Great teams like EZ-Flash, Acekard and Cyclo got beaten by Nintendo.
It's sad, but it's time to face the fact and move on.

DSTwo is solid and stable.
R4i Gold is cheap, yet very good.

I'd buy one of these instead of waiting for an unlikely EZ-Flash VII
