Ok, I've got about fifteen hours clocked up now and I've gotten Tenumwhatever and Clover's endings.

All I have to say is this,

What is Chunsoft's perchant for giving Clover some rather bloody endings?

I'm getting there. I will find out what the fuck is actually happening.

So I just watched the OVA again, am I the only one who thinks this would be a great idea for a movie/show? Not entirely VLR, but if they made something that had all the same stuff and plot twists, but all new characters. A spinoff that still follows the game?
Heck even if they made 999/ VLR into a show/movie, live-action or animated, I'll take it.

I have just bought two games from Amazon for Christmas. And guess which ones: 999 and VLR. I wasn't sure about buying 999, but people really recommended it and decided to give it a try. I'll play 999 first so I catch all the references when playing VLR :)

What was clovers ending again? I can't remember it. I hated Tenmyouji's ending so bloody much. I seriously thought that
Me, him, and Quark were going to escape together and that I'd get jumped and not them or something.[/spoilers].

Clover's ending had something to do with her looking for everyone else and then Sigma finds them all murdered in a pool of blood, with the scapel lying next to them.

Oh ya and
Didn't Sigma kill himself too then after seeing all of them? That's the one where you're with Phi and Clover searching the PEC room right?

Yep, that's right.
Always so hesitant with spoilers in this thread considering I haven't finished the game yet xD

Yeah see, I didn't understand that part...in the pool of bodies.. where was K?
Spoiler fail =P
I can't quite remember, I'll have to have a second look at that ending considering I can't remember it properly. I thought K's body was there...

Im finding this game pretty difficult to replay because i know which "path" leads to what ending and thus i cant enjoy discovering each specific section in turn, i really wish my brain had a recycle bin coz then i could just delete the savefile on the game (and from my head) and enjoy this game all over again!

Trust me, I'm worse off. Heavy Rain for the PS3. I've been wanting to replay that for a loooong time but I still remember everything clearly. Been atleast 1 and a half years, if not 2+.

Except in this game there is. Yeah you might go through the same text and some cutscenes, but you never do the same room twice.
That's not really "replay" value. You're not exactly replaying it. Replaying it would be repeating every single ending after you already had completed them...

Well in that regards, a metric ton of games aren't replayable at all. Mario, Zelda, Borderlands 2 (After you complete the game), Assassin's Creed games, Kingdom Hearts, Batman games, Final Fantasy...

The way I see it, if you feel like down the road at all that you want to play the game through again for whatever reason, whether it has added stuff or not, it's replayable. Personally, I'll probably go through this game and 999 all over again because they're just that good.

Nearly twenty hours in now and I've added Dio and Alice's ending. I need to start on K's route and than I'm on the homestretch to getting all the standard endings.

Than I go for the true and special endings.

Nah, those are different. This game is basically all about the mystery, puzzles and story. Replay it and you lose the mystery, you know the story and you can solve all the puzzles (with a few exceptions; dice can burn in hell). Most of the games you listed have some action gameplay that can be just fun to do.
