Hacking Crown 3DS possible realase date???

First of all it will be region free since its not console that its locked. Its game cartridges. If console is region locked why are all DS games region free on it?

DS games run on DS mode on the 3DS.

First of all it will not be region free because the way the 3DS determines which region the game is from is held in a value in the ROM which you would put on the cartridge. Modifying that value (to make the game region free) would require resigning the game, which not work with the idea of the crown 3ds because we cannot resign games and crown 3ds would boot the game from the home menu, which requires a correct signature. If an exploit is found in a 3DS game and flashcarts like you know of come, then it won't check the signature because the games on the flashcart won't be booted from the home menu.

DS games did not check the region value, and Nintendo felt it might be unfair to not allow someone who bought a legitimate out of region game and played it for years on their DS to not be allowed to play it region free on their 3DS. Since Nintendo released the 3DS after they had the (dumb) idea that users would love the region lock feature they did not have to worry about being unfair since no one outside of Nintendo could own and play an out of region 3DS game before launch.

Just know that if crown 3ds is real, you won't be patching games for hacks/mods until an exploit comes along. (ie crown 3ds would only be for playing exactly the games -- no hacks, no mods, no cheats, just the actual game)

You clearly dont know anything. ROMs can easily be modified and if Crown3DS is real it will play all kinds of hacks and stuff. Final version will not boot games from home menu but rather have own menu when you put cartridge inside. On youtube tha was prototype version that will not look near as final one

You clearly don't know anything. 3DS roms cannot be modified yet, let alone EASILY. Crown3DS, simply put, would only allow you to play pirated games. The encryption in the 3DS hasn't been broken, therefore any possibility of homebrew using it is shattered.

But Crown3DS is its own cartridge and if its coded to be region free it will be. Just like freeloader disc for Wii

No, it's not. From what I know, you flash a game to the cartridge, and that acts as a real game. With that in mind, you would still only be able to load games from your region. The freeloader disc applied a patch to the system menu (correct me if I'm wrong), which was only possible AFTER the Wii was hacked.

So at the moment a card where you can put one 3ds game on and play it is not gonna happen.
Isn't it possible to make a card exactly like a normal card but with a micro sd to put one game on? I don't mind swapping roms all the time.
For now that all I need for testing new games before I buy then. 8-)

One thing though: How can you be so sure?

3DS is definitely different than the DS in many ways. You cannot possibly expect the 3DS mode to be made the exact same way as DS mode today. Unless you work with Crown3DS and know the exact progress, I would not dare to make such a claim.

Crown 3DS was supposed to be avalible for sale in 2012, but they decided to give us better quality card with region free and more so we must wait. Or they are just waiting for someone to hack 3DS and then steal his work

Freeloader temporarily "hacked" the Wii using an exploit to let it accept region free games. Actually Datel back in the day stole an exploit from some of the early Wii hackers to do that... or the other way around. Can't remember.

It'll be the same thing with the 3DS. You first need an exploit (and there are NONE), then hack an address in the memory space and fool the 3DS into thinking that the game you're inserted is actually region free.

tl;dr: The 3DS needs to be hacked (if ever) to have region free on it.

A Flashcard that plays 3DS games is never going to be released. NEVER.

Sure it will be released, but it wont be crown, thats the only sure thing.
You dont need to decrypt the whole game container to play the game on a flashcard, as soon as we know how the 3DS communicates with this container file(s) its done, might take long, might be tomorrow, who knows.
